Good food with great views of the water. It’s all outdoor covered seating at the Sandbar area. There was live music going on and kid friendly. The crab dip and mozzarella sticks were good. The jumbo shrimp, shrimp tacos, and shrimp & crab sandwich were tasty. Shout out to Courtney doing an awesome job at all her tables while the place was super busy! Some of the best service I’ve ever seen.

The food is sooooo good! Staff is spectacular as well! Had half moon mozzarella with garlic and thought we would save the remaining to bring back and nope everything was gone! Also had the calamari! Accidentally ate the peppers and had a moment but so delicious!
The shrimp tacos are in credible and the prime rib dip was enjoyed! Flavours were amazing!

I ordered calamari and steamed mussels. The calamari was nicely breaded and overall the pieces were tender. A couple of chewy rings and not a large portion but for the price adequate. The mussels were tender and the broth was sweet and buttery with garlic. Very reasonably priced. I gave the atmosphere a 4 because it was chilly as it was a windy cooler Florida day. The server was great! I would recommend but choose a warm day for a more comfortable experience.

Captain Hiram’s Sandbar has been around for years. As a local of the area I’ve been to Hiram’s several times over the years.
The Atmosphere is the number one reason for this place’s success. The sand bar is great having a nice drink and meal on the sand with maybe some live music is a great feeling.
I stopped in today and ordered a bear in the cave which is the Hiram’s version of a rum & coke dressed with a lime. The drink is $8 which is pretty affordable for a mixed drink at any bar. I then ordered a Big Island Burger Medium Rare. The burger itself was good, cooked correctly and came with some tasty fries. This meal cost $15 which is a normal price for a burger these days. I then ordered another bear in the cave and called it a day. Altogether the price was a comfortable $32 plus the tip. Not bad for a nice time out on the river with a couple of tasty drinks and a filling meal. My waitress was Erica she was friendly and on top of it with getting my order and drinks out.
The area is very busy at night so you honestly can play it either way. If you want a laid back meal on the river go during the early afternoon. If you want to have a loud live band and a thriving bar atmosphere go at night.
If you haven’t been to Hiram’s and you live anywhere near Sebastian you need to experience it for yourself. A one of a kind place for sure.

I don’t go out to dinner much. I do prefer lunch. And the spot hits all of the notes. I had the seafood Cobb salad, which was perfectly filling. Our appetizer was the crab dip, which was also delicious. I’m not a fan of the fried saltines, but otherwise the dip was good. You can’t beat the view that’s for sure . Our server was on point and we will return.

The place is great cozy lovely view from the lake mini beach docks nice atmosphere we received complimentary drinks from the hotel Best Western plus Laura the waitress did good job but unfortunately the drink I ordered Pinacolada was the worse ever that should call ICE Colada no pineapple flavor i wasn’t able to taste the rum loaded of crushed ice like kids drink i mentioned to Laura and she wasn’t nice at all acting very defensive saying that how we make and left to help another table didn’t even asked the bartender to make another one and I ended up throwing out what a waste i tried the Bahamama was ok portions was small like the conch frutter also the fish n deep was so tiny….a little scoop loaded of jalapeños tomato and purple onions to looks bigger very strange way to make we ended up wiping off the jalapeños n onions because no one’s like ! Place is awesome but the food and drinks is not so good!

Our waitress, Justine, was incredibly kind and attentive. She brought my dog a water bowl and got us water right away, which we really appreciated. There was also a staff member who helped us dock our boat and reset the lines after the wind loosened them—knowing our boat was well looked after gave us peace of mind to relax and enjoy our meal.
Dogs are allowed on the wooden deck, which was a plus for us, though seating there is limited and made it a bit difficult to watch the football game. Our food also came out before we had finished our appetizer, so slightly better timing would have been nice.
Overall, we were very pleased with the service, and the vibes were great

what a shock we’ve been coming to the sandbar for years and years it’s like home today we had two mahi sandwiches and two glasses of water with tip for $60!!! $23 for a mahi sandwich that until very recently with $17. I’m sorry but that’s it for Captain Hirams. know before you go. Wait staff was nice enough but took forever to get our order to get our food to get our drinks and the place was half full, Friday afternoon 1 o’clock. There’s a new restaurant right up the road in Sebastian right on the water that’s offering their mahi sandwiches for $17 so we’ll be heading there.

My family and I LOVE this place! The live music is always great day or night. You can boat, paddle, or drive to the location perfectly situated on the water. We see dolphins every time we go! The food is a great as the service and as packed as it can get we always can find parking. Capt. Hiram’s is full of character. You can’t call yourself a local if you’ve never been and if you’re visiting this place is a MUST SEE!

On a day cruise just looking for great happy hour deals and some good people watching along the A1A, we came upon Captain Hirams Sandbar – and I’m glad we did!
It’s unfortunate that it was overcast / light rain at the time – because I can imagine that this place is PACKED when it’s sunny out. Despite the weather, the band went on and played some great covers as people started to convene around the various bars they have on the property. It’s cool because each one seems to have its own personality / set of regulars – and with the large outdoor stage that they use on the weekends, I’m sure it’s an amazing time. I wish we had a better forecast – but I do plan to be back on a sunny day!
