The sandbar Tavern is an incredible establishment!! Amazing atmosphere! They really bring all of Washington state into one spot! I knew I loved index. The view from the front deck and the bar is like nothing Iv seen off the highway before. 10/10 hot dog bar, must get the meat ball sub next time. Highly recommend the raspberry amber ale.

Definitely stop here! This place is a true PNW gem. I always drove by this place while out hiking near Index and thought it looked really interesting. I finally stopped today and I was not disappointed. Truly a very friendly and hospitable atmosphere. I met adventurers, travelers, and locals and everyone got along like old friends. The Sand Bar is a great place to hang out and relax. The owners are open and friendly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. This last visit I sat outside and soaked up the sun and the awesome views of partially snow covered mountains. They sell beer and wine and usually have complimentary food. A great place to stop at on the way home from Eastern Washington or just to get out of town for a little relaxing drinks.
