I got there at 6:30PM, and i was very much looking forward to theSLU Billikens continue their insane winning streak: they are on a solute tear right now.
anyways, i really don’t go out and drink frequently, therefore i may be very impressionable. a few acquaintances from the card shop stopped in, and i started talking to them.
one of the friends had called me to their table, which was located 2 feet directly behind me.
i really need to state at this point that Sue is great, she took awesome care of me.
however, once uh…Tara (?) or whatever, really decided to put a halt to that. Tara went ahead and made sure to do something that would chase me off for good. the determination to do so oozed from her split ends. what a powerful move, to throw away a Patron’s half-full drink. she executed her plan within 20 second of me turning around. that’s…almost impressive? human beings are able to recognize when someone is taking out their own emotional dissonance on someone else. dude, it’s 2026 lol.
listen, i know this is just a figurative drop in the pond for the Sand Bar, what, with having just recently changed ownerships? right?
what a fantastic impression Tara has made on those that may or may not be visiting this establishment for the very first time. sometimes less is more, Tara.
Take care, Sand Bar. One day you will hopefully be repurposed into an establishment that enriches the community, rather than throwing away their half-full beer.

Great drinks , cheap prices. Karaoke is great here. Even if there’s not an official karaoke just ask the bartender and they’ll turn on the mics for you. Jesse and Mike have been super accommodating.

Great nice little place, hole in the wall. Prices are awesome!!! Just wish they had a bigger selection of beers and gin and tonics. That’s the only reason you got a 4 out of 5, I would have given a 4.5 , bc selection is only downfall but you have guineas

Was gawked at like we had 3 heads with horns sprouted from them when I entered this bar with my husband by both patrons and staff, was not welcomed by anyone, went to go to the back of the bar to avoid the stares while contemplating drinks and they just turned their heads to continue staring. Was extremely uncomfortable, all we wanted was a fun night out, ended up leaving after 5 minutes of extreme discomfort. My husband proceeded to leave a review stating our experience and the owner (?) decided the best way to respond to a criticism was with harassment and insults. All around, poor experience.

Bartenders were legit amazing. The owner irked me. I put money in the jukebox (50 over the course of the night) he skipped my songs bc he said they didn’t fit the vibe. Um, sir? I am a customer. The only thing saving this review is the amazing service, fantastic bartenders and great attitudes from them. The owner alone gets zero stars.

Was nice bartender nice.good vibes maybe it was company was with started.off good & wasn’t there long. But what happened who knows it was nice but i suppose friends lead you to believe different & gave it second chance things always happen so give benefit of doubt & gave second chance but .You would think someone you grew up with was friends with along time this would of never happened. But learned a good lessons.
