What you expect from a bar. Loud crowd and kids sports teams everywhere. Great environment. Food came out fast and the place was packed. Drinks were always full and everyone happy. I’ll go again for sure when we come to town. Steak was a Saturday night special. On point.

When traveling, I look for local and this is it! I was just passing through Council Bluffs but now it will be an intentional stop to come back to the Salty Dog. Excellent service. Super clean, nice bathrooms, and great food. We did their famous wings and a side of fries. Both excellent. I had Chardonnay (usually a bad idea anywhere in the Midwest), but it was good and in a chilled glass. This place is great!

Just ordered for the first time via DoorDash. It came very quickly, they included a bunch of napkins/wet wipes/sauces. The wings are absolutely delicious, flavorful and perfectly cooked. Very impressed and I will be back.

Fast service. Tasty food. Salsa was excellent. Could only eat half my triple decker club sandwich. It’s bit busy kids are allowed in this restaurant/ bar so if this is not your thing beware.

Walked over from the truck stop and had a great time. The “world famous” wings were definitely worth it. I got the “spicy” and had a nice kick. Beers were ice cold and served with a smile. Great service and food and definitely a fun time!

My first time at the salty dog. It was awful! They forgot my drink, my frenchfries were old and dry. One person didn’t get her grilled cheese until after we were all done. They didn’t even say sorry or comp her ticket! Then manager did nothing! Horrible. I will never go there again

We went here because we were told the food was really good.
It was busy, we waited 15 minutes to have someone take our order. Once the food was delivered, zero service, no refills or how is your food, nada.
The food was terrible, it is all frozen food and unseasoned. The sautéed onions were wet and limp, the burger was foamy, undercooked and had zero flavor.
They clearly rely on you drinking to dull your taste buds. I wouldn’t recommend this dive to anyone, we will not be returning.
