The northern salt line of the Hudson River – where brackish meets fresh water – is in Poughkeepsie. Like waters meeting, here perspectives cross and cultures meet in the congenial atmosphere of a shared dining experience. With a focus on local and foods and sustainability it also welcomes and engages the local community.

Food was incredible and so was the service.
Steve was our server and the bartender for the night.
Amazing cocktails and service from him—knowledgeable about the menu and passionate about his job.

We absolutely loved everything about our experience here! The restaurant is beautiful. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with kind and welcoming staff. Our waiter was so polite, honest, and helpful.
Our drinks were great, I got the cocktail with the roasted red pepper, I have to say if you love a smokey, spicy peppery cocktail, you should give that one a shot. It’s all the flavors of a spicy cocktail but to have that sweet? Amazing.
Compliments to the chef(s)! Everything we had was incredible down to the table salt options that they provided. We had the House made focaccia which was amazing, the crab appetizer was so refreshing, I had the half roasted chicken and I wish I could describe the flavors of this dish. It was out of this world! In top of the flavors, the chicken was perfectly cooked and moist. The burger was awesome and the fries were lovely.
For dessert, we had the carrot cake with Dulce de Leche ice cream, and the homemade donuts with maple garlic ice cream. Both were so good, The donuts were a great mix of savory and sweet!
For the quality of the food and the overall experience, the price was totally reasonable in my opinion. I will be back very soon! Thank you for an awesome experience and best of luck to you all on this new venture!

Executive chef is amazing! Food was all delicious! Try the long bone, short rib – presentation is super impressive! Chicken was best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Tried the top 2 cocktails, one tequila and beet, one bourbon with lemon – both amazing! Olive oil cake and lemon curd dessert portions are both huge – order both and eat them together, enough to share!

Husband and I dined here about 2 weeks ago for the first time, and overall, had a very nice experience and enjoyed our food and drinks. We were seated by the windows, so we had a nice view of the tree-lined grounds. The menu has a good assortment of seasonal vegetable items, but since I’ve been eating a lot of salad lately, I wanted carbs, so we decided on the table bread appetizer. I like hummus but wasn’t necessarily a fan of the beet & harissa hummus, but the bread was wonderful and the rosemary butter was divine. I was planning to order the trout entrée based on the online menu, but the more extensive menu at the restaurant offered roasted long island duck so I chose that instead. It was perfectly cooked at mid-rare, and very well seasoned with crispy skin. The corn accompaniment was tasty but not the most exciting, but the mushrooms added a nice meatiness. The berry coulis was fine, I would have preferred something more tart to counteract the duck. It didn’t stop me from finishing it, though. My husband had the local grass fed steak which was also cooked nicely and very tasty, if just a touch short on the salt. Both entrées were enjoyable and well composed. Cocktails were well balanced, enjoyable and well made. We decided to skip dessert since I’m lactose intolerant and only one option would have been safe, so we ordered another round of drinks and another order of the focaccia. Service was polite, attentive, and friendly, though we did have to wait a little bit for cocktails from the bar. The one negative, if I’d call it that, is when I overheard the waitress mention the specials for the night to the table next to us, since we were not given a specials menu or told about them. The food was solid and the drinks were good but I was impressed with the offerings and overall execution. Dutchess doesn’t have too many higher-end, seasonally-focused dining options, so we look forward to visiting again in a few weeks.

This was a wonderful experience not only for the food but also for the service and the environment. The atmosphere feels super upscale and cozy at the same time, my girlfriend and I loved the chairs. All of the food was very delicious. It was super clean, fresh and everything tasted phenomenal. The service was also great! Timothy invited me and my girlfriend to come and try the restaurant and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. The man that served us was also very fun and attentive! This place is not gonna break the bank, has a great vibe and great food, and is a great excuse to dress up highly recommend this place.

Beautiful hotel and restaurant!! The food concepts sound great. I ordered the brussel sprout bravas – they were ok, just salty with no other flavor. I also ordered the green goddess salad with chicken. Salad itself was good. It’s not worth the price. The chicken was undercooked. I had a bad stomach ache the next day. The service was super great! The drink I had was delicious! I’d skip those two items on the menu though. Maybe I’ll try the bucatini next.

Me and my girlfriend came here back in August when they were first getting started, and it was an amazing experience. The fish with castelveltrannos in particular was very impressive in both appearance and flavor. The beet hummus served with Foccacia was innovative without feeling forced, a very clever spin on an unbeatable classic. Service was slightly slow and awkward, which is completely understandable for a new staff. Atmosphere was beautiful. Overall, I highly recommend visiting, especially if you’re visiting the CIA at Hyde Park.

Chef Manning was outstanding, and Josh, our server, was equally amazing! The staff’s knowledge and expertise about the menu and products were impressive, which added so much to the experience. From start to finish, this place exceeded all expectations. I’d say it’s easily one of the best restaurants in Poughkeepsie. Highly recommended—amazing views, incredible food, exceptional customer service, and a staff that truly knows their craft. Truly a hidden gem!

Took a special somebody here the day before valentine’s day. Incredible atmosphere and an even more superior server Steven. I ordered a delicious steak and she had scallop ravioli. They were beautifully crafted into heart shapes which was a thoughtful touch. I would recommend this place to anybody.

Was my first time at the restaurant and went on a Monday night. Even though they had a limited menu the food was delicious! I recommend the platter so you can try a bit of everything. Service was impeccable. Courtney was attentive, friendly, and overall provided better quality service than most in this area. Will be coming again!
