Wonderful view with decent food. Dolphins, herons and jumping fish can be seen at different times of the day.
Only problem is the marina parking. Arbitrarily, we are sometimes asked to park across from the marina. This would be fine except in the dark you are crossing a small road then walking 500 ft on uneven gravel. When it’s hot out, we often go somewhere else.
This is for the Sailfish portion. Ballyhoo’s is good too, but unattended kids running around is a lot less peaceful than sitting inside.

Yummy. If you haven’t tried it recently you should, it was allready a great view and decent food, but recently the food has been trending towards amazing…definitely a keeper. UPDATE OCT 2023 Just tried there latest updated menu items and the chef continues to impress, raised my stars accordingly. If you like chowder you need to try it here…amazing. This place is consistently delicious and always great service. The view is awesome and in the fall the place is often quiet and tranquil.

We used to love coming here as this visit is our third in a week while brining family from out of town.
We chose to sit outside which we soon realized was too hot for our toddler and when we walked back inside he was instantly happy feeling the AC.
I proceeded to ask a waitress if my son and I could sit at a little two person table for him to cool down. As she proceeds to open the dining room door the bartender said, “that side is closed.” As the waitress was explaining it was just for my son and I, the bartender proceeded to say, “it’s closed” with a little shoulder shrug. My toddler cannot sit in a high top chair as their boosters do not have straps to lock the booster down nor my child and my child is out of the stage of high chairs.
When I asked the reason the dining room was closed and why we couldn’t be accommodated there was no reason given and it was if we could take it or leave it.
Also, for background no one was sitting in the bar or dining room at the time as we got here at opening.
I am very disappointed in this experience as we enjoyed boating here for the cocktails and appetizers.

Not quite 5 star but still very good food for a decent price. They did a fantastic job of accommodating a large group on a Saturday afternoon. The helpful “valet” service for our boat on the dock was outstanding — the young men were so helpful & polite!!

What can I say other than we had an amazing time at Sailfish. They welcomed our group that rode in from Johnston County with a great parking accommodation for out motorcycles.
The view was great and it was phenomenal watching everyone come in to get lunch from the boats that docked.
The food was cooked to perfection and the shrimp plate was perfect! I’d definitely come back when we’re in the area again.

I can’t say enough about Lee and the whole staff, just amazing. They turned what could have been a real problem with the gas situation into a positive by going above and beyond. Of course the atmosphere, food and staff at the restaurant & bar area are tip top. Go enjoy a drink and grab some delicious food on the deck or at the bar, you’ll keep going back every season! Great meal! Most friendly and happy staff I have seen in a while. The food was perfect and the view even better. So glad we went to try it out!
I had Chicken Bruschetta and my husband had the swordfish special. All very good! We finished off with a piece of cheesecake and coffee so we could enjoy the evening a little longer.

Our favorite place to stop at when we’re out on the boat! Most places in Wrightsville Beach ICW get too crowded, and Sailfish makes it easy to come by for a quick drink or snack on the water! The marina guys are always super helpful when docking our boat! I love getting a margarita and some grouper bites! They have the best views and a great atmosphere! Highly recommend stopping by on your boat!

The garlic fries and spicy chicken sandwich (forgot the name) were to die for! However, our utmost favorite part of this experience was our waitress, Mikayla. She was very kind, attentive and beyond helpful! Seriously, the smiles in her section were endless. Great hire!!! We can’t wait to come back!
