Most main dishes are around $18–19, which is great for the area, and the location is super convenient to get to.
We ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee, and I loved that they use the traditional drip style just like in Vietnam. The Satay Pho with rare beef and beef balls was the highlight — flavourful, warm, and not overly spicy. The Pho with ribs and brisket was also really good: tender meat, clean broth, and a portion size that fills you up without being too fatty or overwhelming.
The Hue-style soup wasn’t our favourite as the flavour was lighter than the authentic version, but everything else was enjoyable.
Overall, a solid spot for affordable Vietnamese comfort food in North York. I’d definitely come back for the satay pho and Vietnamese coffee!
Probably about 20 seats in their with an aesthetic interior.
They start you off with their warm tea, possibly jasmine green tea, I’m not sure.
I got their grilled shrimp which was amazing!
Their beef brisket broth was RICH with a bit of sweetness. This was one of the better broths I’ve had in the city.
Would highly recommend
The food? Absolutely comforting. The phở was the star of the show: rich, aromatic broth that’s simmered to perfection, paired with tender cuts of meat and crisp, fresh herbs. The Phở Tái (rare beef) and Phở Nạm (brisket) were both generous and deeply satisfying: the kind of bowls that warm your soul from the very first slurp.
The Chả Giò Chiên came out golden, crisp, and full of flavour; perfect bites to kick off the meal. The Iced Thai Tea was smooth, sweet, and refreshing, and the Strawberry Milkshake added a fun, nostalgic touch that made the whole experience even more joyful.
From the food to the ambiance, everything at The Saigon is thoughtfully done and deliciously executed. It’s a beautiful blend of authenticity, comfort, and community. And in the summer? Grab a seat on the benches right outside and soak up the sun with your pho in hand.

I ordered the Special Pho (P7), the Fresh Shrimp Rolls (A4), and the Fried Spring Rolls (A2). Every single dish was well-prepared and satisfying. The pho came with a generous mix of beef cuts: rare slices, brisket, tendon, beef balls — and the broth was clear, flavorful, and clearly slow-cooked with care.
The shrimp rolls were fresh and light — the perfect summer bite — while the fried spring rolls were crispy, not greasy, and packed with flavor.
Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the vibe is casual but warm. A great local spot if you’re craving a comforting bowl of pho done right. Will definitely come back.
Meat platter was a generous portion. Meat was a little dry. But the chicken on rice was super juicy.
The avocado smoothie was sooo good! Smooth yet not too thick and perfect balance of avocado flavors.
