A fantastic first visit — already planning the return
We had a great experience at The Saddle Room in Hoffman Estates. We just missed happy hour (it ends at 5:30), but honestly that just gives us an excuse to come back and try it another day.
I’m not usually a martini person, but the cocktails here completely changed my mind. The Seedless Martini was crisp and beautifully balanced, and the Toasted Marshmallow Campfire Old Fashioned was outstanding—smooth, smoky, and just the right touch of sweet. Truly top-notch drinks.
Food-wise, everything hit. The Korean duck wings were delicious—slightly on the salty side, but incredibly savory and satisfying. The mushroom soup was a great addition and comforting without being heavy. The beet salad was fresh and perfectly paired with goat cheese and arugula.
The standout entrée was the short rib—incredibly tender and packed with flavor. And the triene potatoes deserve special mention… honestly worth coming back just for that side alone. Incredible.
Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks. Can’t wait to return (and this time, we’re making happy hour).
Saddle Room boasts a fantastic variety of food and drinks, with the soups being a delightful surprise; they change regularly, except for the lobster bisque, which is exceptional! Although the soup isn’t on the menu, it’s definitely a hidden gem worth trying.
If you’re a fan of martinis, you’ll be in for a treat, they are absolutely fantastic! Overall, Saddle Room is a wonderful spot that never disappoints.
Her cocktail recommendations? Perfection. Her service? Flawless. My steak? Cooked exactly as I ordered, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It was the kind of dinner that makes you think, “Yes, I am a god.”
Tonight wasn’t quite the same high, my “blue rare” leaned more medium rare, and service felt a little lukewarm, but listen: when a restaurant delivers a night as iconic as last night, you forgive the off notes. Because when The Saddle Room hits its stride, honey, it sings.
Come for the steak, stay for Rachael, and prepare to have a night that leaves you saying, “shantay, you stay.”
The combination of flavors the texture the portion size absolutely everything about it 100% top notch! Sending a special thanks to Jessica the bartender for just being sweet, friendly, and helpful.
