The good: The ambiance is great! Very cozy. Prices and reasonable and the items are top notch. My blueberry muffin had little chunks of nuts–very nice!

The bad: We came as a family to get some treats on a road trip. After the five of us got a bakery item, we walked over for coffee next door. Adults got coffee. We asked if we could get water for the kids. Yes, $3. My son asked if he could just take in his water bottle. I explained the sign on the door that said no outside food or beverages, but the person at the counter said it would be no problem. He got it. The person from the bakery came over and told us it wasn’t allowed and told the coffee shop person that the policy was to increase sales. I get that, but that’s something you share without customers around. It was awkward and inhospitable. We left and ate in our car.

I love this shop. You cannot use a credit or debit card here!! It is a great way to spend your cash, though! The bakery is quaint and beautiful on the inside. As a little girl, my mom would bring me in here for goodies. I love this bakery.

Went in on a Friday afternoon, and while the selection was slim at that time, I was able to pick up some excellent desserts. They were more than fairly priced. It was a little dark in there, but the service was great. Cash only accepted, but luckily I had some.

Best atmosphere I’ve ever seen in a coffee shop. The coffee is OK, but the bakery is amazing!

I gave The Rye Bakery two ⭐⭐ because of the last visit we had at their bakery, which was over the past weekend May 19th or so. My husband went in the bakery to buy muffins for me and I told him no nuts. So theres a new girl behind the counter and my husband said to her I want three muffins that don’t have any nuts in them. So she put three muffins in two bags next morning I decided to have one I found nuts in the muffins. I understand if you’re new but if you don’t know your menu then you need to ask someone who is in the kitchen. I’m done with this bakery been coming here for two years. I can’t take any chances when it comes to people who don’t understand no nuts. I can’t have any
