My wife and I watched one lone waitress take care of the inside as well as all of the outside tables by herself 20 plus people and did not fail to deliver great service!
The crab cakes were so moist and tender and perfectly seasoned.
The Clams were cooked to perfection & swirled in very rich linguine pasta.
you can’t go wrong with a Rockefeller oyster either very tasty!

What a great place to enjoy a happy hour mid day. The service was phenomenal, beer selection was great and the prices were unbelievable. $1 oyster happy hour and they were amazing (and not tiny oysters). Even the side of brussel sprouts were great. Definitely a place to stop by in the Gulf Shores area.

This lil hidden gem was just my sorta place. Cute and kinda shabby chic joint. Tina was our waitress. She was the only one working the front. She was taking orders, making cocktails, even shuckin oysters and keeping us happy. We ordered from the regular and brunch menus. The flight of roasted oysters, the pork belly naan tacos for apps. The tacos were to die for, literally! We ordered the fried stuff, fish sandwich, the brunch burger and the brunch bowl. Everything was seasoned perfectly no s&p needed. They forgot the egg on my bowl so she comped my bloody mary. Very thoughtful and nice. It was almost an hour drive but totally worth it. There’s inside and outside dining. We sat inside because it was cold out.

Raw oysters with several toppings were just ok

Crab cake sandwich was great
Fried shrimps were good as well

Looking for oysters? This is a cool place to go! Oysters are great and they prepare them many different ways. Small joint but the perfect little hide away. Raw oysters are fresh, roasted oysters were flavored great, heirlom grits were yummy and if you are looking for some different try the coconut curried crab claws.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. You must check this place out. It was our favorite stop of the Weekend and had the best drink options matched with seafood options. The grilled oysters are pretty amazing and the Cobia was really tasty. The only thing that I would improve is the amount of shade in the outside patio area.

This is the kind if place I could eat lunch everyday. Oysters are served raw or roasted, with different “toppings” available. We had 6 raw (3 plain, 3 chimmichurri) and 6 roasted (3 trinity and 3 gratin). Fish sandwich, choice of fried, grilled or blackened. The fish was cobia and we chose blackened. Comes with pickled cabbage, lettuce, THAT (proprietary) sauce. So good. Nice beer selection. Great house white. The menu is full of things you will want to try – salads, fresh fish, sandwiches, shrimp, oysters. Outside dining area with games. Small indoor dining, 7 tables. A couple of big screen TV’s. A fun and diverse selection of cocktails. Great character. Sunday brunch is from 11 to 4.

If you find this review helpful, please LIKE it below. The Royal Oyster is a cozy local raw bar with a variety of oysters daily plus other local seafood options. Had a fried fish sandwich in addition to oysters on the half shell. Fantastic!
