Rating for Happy hour: The decor of the restaurant needs some updating. Everything (tables, chairs) felt like there was a layer of grime on it. Live music playing Friday night when we went. It was folk music, not really my thing. Service was slow but friendly. We ordered a glass of house wine for $10 and beers. None of it was very good. The cab was sub par and the pour was small. Brussel sprout was a generous platter. Free, self serve (very salty) popcorn during happy hour. Given all the other options available, this one is a miss.

I got the Roasted Salmon and it was actually really good, cooked just right with great flavor. The band music was pretty loud so it was hard to talk at times. Service was pretty slow, but the friendly waiter and solid food made up for it. Overall not bad, just be ready for a louder vibe.

Awful over priced drinks. The worst old fashioned my wife has ever been served (by a long shot) and two very poor espresso martinis costing a total of $60… Will never return. Stay away if you appreciate a decent cocktail…

Killer venue. Staff made more mistakes (plural) with orders than reasonably acceptable. Food was good, I had the burger.

The live music was fire! I stayed for two musicians.

Locals are very attractive and lively. Good luck keeping up! Great time.

Killer live music. Good souls all around. Highly recommended.

The staff is awesome and very attentive. Dennis was “hanging out with us” and was awesome. We had the breakfast sandwich and a couple beers. The sandwich was great, but the potato’s were off the hook. Thank you! Emily from BJ’s recommend your restaurant and she was right.

This place was awesome. The food is great. If you like Jazz and Blues music genres, this is a soothing place to dine and enjoy yourself. We celebrated a birthday on a Sunday with 16 people, and the staff was flexible to get our party in and out with great service. The owner was friendly and engaged in conversation with our party. The band sang happy birthday to our special birthday lady.

The parking is mostly in the back of the building due to the bustling activities and shops in the area. We will attend again.

Music was great! Server was very well informed and honest in recommendations. Beef stroganoff was tasty. Mac n cheese was heavy. Overall good experience.

Great little restaurant in Encinitas! First and foremost, find street parking because that is definitely hard. We had reservations but I don’t think you really need one, especially on a weekday. We sat on the patio because the music was too loud. If I had come here by myself, I would’ve LOVED the music but I was meeting a friend and wanted to talk. There was also a football game on, which made things louder.

We ordered the blistered shishito peppers, the salmon and the penne pasta with shrimp. They had happy hour until 11 pm or something, which was awesome! I got their Chardonnay and my friend got one of their IPAs.

The shishito peppers were excellent! Blistered as they should be, with delicious barbecue sauce and lime to go with. One pepper was fairly spicy, the rest were not. Amongst the salmon and the pasta, the pasta definitely won hands down. The salmon was cooked appropriately, but I think I would’ve liked it better with risotto or something similar, rather than just veggies. The pasta, on the other hand, was creamy, melt-y, with veggies and herbs and the shrimp was cooked very well! Even two days later, the leftovers tasted delicious. The Chardonnay was from Sonoma and I liked it.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed coming here! I shall be back (but maybe when there isn’t a football game on!).
