This is hands down my favorite Cajun restaurant in Katy! We always sit at the bar with Ryan. He’s incredibly attentive and kind, and he always has the best drink and nightly special recommendations. The grilled oysters are to die for, the service is always prompt, and the food comes out hot and delicious every single time. I don’t even like green beans, but I ate these up because they were cooked perfectly. Everything was absolutely amazing; no suggestions needed. We come here almost weekly and it never disappoints!

I initially ordered a “spritz”, it wasn’t quite a spritz. It was horrible. The glass was full of ice with a bit of sparkling water and a hint of champagne/wine.

We visited The Rouxpour for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was a Wednesday evening, so they were not busy.
It’s a nice Restaurant., nice decor. We got seated and promptly greeted by our waiter.
She was very nice, explained the menu and was attentive at all times.
For appetizers we got the Cajun Deviled eggs, they were very good, one of the best I’ve had. Also the signature chargrilled oysters. I personally did not like them, as the amount of Parmesan & Romano cheese was so much that it absolutely overpowered the oysters. You couldn’t taste them at all, just the enormous amount of cheese flavor.. I wasn’t the only one who thought the same about the oysters.
The spring shrimp salad, ordered with a side of Salmon. The salmon was so overcooked, nothing special about the salad.
I ordered a filet mignon. Which I have to say it was flavorless…. So bland, it definitely was not worth the $55+ at all.
The Salmon Lafitte was good.. honestly the rest of the food was just normal. Nothing wow to justify their prices. The side of toasted bread on each plate…. When have you seen that at a high end restaurant? Definitely not needed if they want to charge those prices, at least don’t make it look cheap.
Service: It was very slow, still our drinks from the bar took 20 minutes. That is way too long, then the appetizers also took a while, we kept on getting other people orders as the other waiters kept on bringing us somebody else’s order.
Overall, service wasn’t great… everything took so long, and it wasn’t our waiters fault, more so on the Bar and kitchen. Now imagine when they are busy.
Parking: Well, it’s la Centera. You already know how it is with parking.

My first time in The Rouxpour and I must say, this place is the greatest. Saturday and Sundays Brunch until 2pm. Great selection of drinks. And outstanding service. The food was fantastic.

Delicious! I had the special, mushroom risotto with seared scallops as an appetizer and fish (i forgot what kind) on linguine with a lemon butter sauce. Full of fresh lemon flavor. So many more menu items I want to try, will definitely be back on our next visit to town.

My wife and I had another exceptional experience at the Rouxpour. We started a tradition coming every year for our anniversary.
Miguel our waiter provided excellent service and the food was amazing like always. This time it was cold and we ate outside but had the heaters going to accommodate!

This place was absolutely amazing. We came here to celebrate a friend, and from the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The location is beautiful, and the service was top-notch, from the hostess greeting us to the attentiveness of our waiter. You can really tell they care about the experience they’re creating.
The food did not disappoint. We started with the lobster bisque, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve only had lobster bisque this good twice in my life, once in Ecuador and now here, which says a lot. I ordered the filet mignon medium rare, and it was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of flavor.
To top it all off, there was live music on Thursday night, which made the evening even more enjoyable and memorable.
I would highly recommend this spot for a date night, a family gathering, or a special celebration. If you’re looking for great food, great service, and a great atmosphere, this place delivers on all of it. We’ll definitely be back.
