The food was decent, but the service is slow. Our waitress wasn’t really knowledgeable about the beer selection which was surprising to me. Had live music while we were there, which was nice. The “art gallery” is a small private room with 4-6 paintings in them. Nothing I would advertise, in fact, it might be better to re-purpose that room as a reservable private room for guests and hang the artwork throughout the rest of the restaurant

The service was okay, food took foreeeeevver to come out. We were the only people eating and two people at the bar. No exaggeration at all, we were the only ones there(my family of four). Food was okay, two of us got burgers and they tasted like if they were made at my friends barbecue, cheese was stale and the waitress never asked how we wanted our burger cooked. Also got a pizza, it wasn’t the best, very little sauce and tasted like straight tomato sauce. Overall experience wasn’t great, don’t know if I’ll come back.( most likely not)

I’ve been eating both lunch and dinner here since shortly after it opened. Until recently, both food and service have been good. Within the past several weeks/few months the service has become very slow. I’m not at all sure why this is because they haven’t been at all busy when I’m there. They have a bar with both mixed drinks and wine and I haven’t bought either there. I usually eat there with a friend that also doesn’t order alcohol. The slow service may be a reason why they don’t seem to ever be very busy. The food is quite good and I hope they’re able to stay open.

Went to listen to a friend of mine play keys for a local band. Nice set, but too loud to hold a decent conversation. No table service. None. Our order was never taken. Not for food or drinks. No waiter or waitress ever greeted our table. Ended up going to Tavern 24 down the street.

Wonderful experience! We are new to the area from Asheville and found the restaurant via Groupon, and are so glad we did! The owner/chef was our server and we thoroughly enjoyed him, as well as his suggestions. Great service, delicious and creative menu items. It was a wonderful date night for us, and we look forward to going back in the very near future.
Check this place out- eat local! You won’t regret it.

I think the staff and food are great! Like all restaurants there may be a day something doesn’t go right with an order etc… If we have ever had a problem the staff has fixed it! The atmosphere and friendliness is exceptional! They treat us like family when we are there.

Our experience was fantastic. From our server to the food! My boyfriend got the bison burger and raved about it for the rest of the night. I enjoyed the sun dried chicken flatbread and it was delicious! Indi (our server) recommended the appetizer and my entree and she was absolutely correct! The prices were reasonable compared to how amazing the food was. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone is Gastonia looking to go out to eat!

Fun place with a wide range of culinary offerings. Chef Jack Acheson is constantly updating his menu with various themes. This monty is Rock and Roll and the Motley Stew did not disappoint. I also had the vegetable egg rolls and the shrimp and grits which were both amazing. My wife had the portobello mushroom sandwich and really enjoyed it. The restaurant has a great bar as well and specializes in craft beer and creative cocktails. Although this was the first time we have been it certainly won’t be the last. I have known Jack personally for about 15 years and he has a great thing going with his restaurant. Do yourself a favor and stop by, you won’t be disappointed.

I have no complaints since the first time I ate here a few years back. I am always treated with open arms and my meals have always been good. I read complaints on reviews about bad experience etc. Example: I do not go out to eat on Monday nights. Why? Most restaurants are slow and it has always been the night of my worst experiences across this great country of ours. Try going out to eat at a busier night like Thursday or Saturday. The kitchens are rock’n and the food is fresher. Be friendlier and forward with your server, if you have a problem with your meal. Take care of the problem while at the restaurant. Dont just pound them on a review. As a small business owner myself. I make mistakes. I am only human. Just give any business a 2nd chance to make it right. Blessings

My mother had been to Round Bistro previously and had a decent experience, so we decided to stop in for lunch when in that area. The floor was noticeably sticky throughout the building. I ordered a San Pellegrino to drink (which was on the menu), but they were out. My mother ordered the half Reuben wrap and round salad and I requested the she crab soup with round salad. Salads were out in a reasonable amount of time and were adequate, though not spectacular. It was a lengthy wait for the wrap and soup. The wrap was burned, the soup was mediocre. When the wrap was pointed out, the waitress asked if we wanted another one which we didn’t really have time for, so she offered to change the wrap to a soup. Tomato soup was substituted. It was almost certainly canned. Neither soup came with crackers. When crackers were requested, some broken crackers were brought out on a small plate. No apologies were made for the food or experience, though our waitress was sure to point out that she had changed the charges to reflect the soup instead of the wrap. We were disappointed with the whole experience and won’t return.
