Unpretentious hangout for burgers, seafood & pub grub, plus sports TV & live music some nights.

There’s so many tasty looking restaurants scattered all around Nantucket that its difficult to choose where to eat. So we just did a random dice roll and ended up here.
Our party of 6 (+2 kids) found a nice outdoor seating where we ordered a variety of tasty meals. The summer salad with shrimp, avocado, citrus and creamy strawberry dressing was a huge hit. The cheese steak was tender and melty between two soft breads. The chicken sandwich on sourdough was a bit much with the salt & spice, but their side fries were just right. The clam chowder was pretty good, as well as the bluefish tartar paired with crisp sesame crackers.
The waiter was fantastic. He was friendly and attentive and refilled our waters frequently and answered our touristy questions and helped take our pictures. The real mvp!

Good food and good outdoor dining seats. We picked this place so we could eat with a dog outside. Shaded spots which was nice. Burgers were good, spicy Sriracha burger and the jerk burger had great flavor. Mocktails were really good too, we liked the blueberry lemonade. Would recommend as a more affordable bite outside in Nantucket near the ferry

It was our first time on Nantucket and with all the great options to pick from, the best compliment a dining establishment can achieve is that tourists coming to experience the local vibe picked your place twice to dine in during the same stay on the island. What did it? The clam chowder. Hands down the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. It pairs well with the pretzel bites they offer on the menu with beer cheese. Oh, and order Cisco’s Grey Lady to wash it down the hatch. So good, we ate here twice on our short visit. Don’t forget to order the sticky toffee pudding! Gained a couple pounds each time we ordered it, especially since the second time we paired it with creamery style icecream. Worth every single calorie.

This is a cute place. Good beers. Good service. The food was really good. I later on found out they have one of the more expensive lobster rolls on the island though. Still yummy.

5-star Clam Chowder all the way. Rich and savory (includes bacon), bold flavors and lots of meat. Just lovely. Could have eaten two more bowls without breaking stride. Service was prompt, very personable, and helpful. Thank you for that nice experience. The Tomato and a Roasted Red Pepper soup was also outstanding, especially in the bread bowl. Both are highly recommended. They will warm your core on a chilly day and leave you with a smile. Would love to visit again someday and see what other slam dunks they are creating in the kitchen. Memorable.

Got off the ferry and this was our first stop for lunch. Very fun atmosphere. Great music playing in the back ground and wonderful beer selections. I had the Thai mussels and they were delicious!! Lobster roll also great! Jeff, our server, was our favorite part! So welcoming, great stories, and helpful with suggestions!

Stopped in for lunch while waiting on the ferry. I’ve been here a few times, and I tried the lobster roll with a Cisco Gripah Grapefruit IPA.
I gotta say, the warm lobster roll was excellent. I’m more of a traditional lobster roll kind of guy, but the creamy butter and chives, plus the perfect brioche roll, really hit the spot.
I’d like to try some other spots for a beer and lunch, but I think the Rose and Crown got me hooked. I’ll be back next summer!

If you have a craving for that traditional American food that is your place at Town. Pretty big menu. There are plenty of options. Food is ok. Some taste better than another.
Drinks are fine. All depends on the bartender. I’m definitely recommending Hot Mama. Desserts are good. The atmosphere gives you all American bar mood. Summer time, they have the windows open and is actually really cool. The couple of tables on the sidewalk are bonus. Rose and Crown is a great spot Friday and Saturday night if you are in the mood for some dancing. They have Dj and place get busy.
You should try it .
