Our first time here. All I can say is the sweet and spicy bacon burger is awesome! Very good place in a calm relaxing way to enjoy meal and conversation. Well worth the visit.

Our first time here. Three for dinner. Nice room, our server was not organized. Waited a long time to order. Two waters and a soft drink. After 15 mins had to ask for our drinks. Next table finished eating, got bused, new guests seated ordered and got their food before us. Seemed like a ser er issue, as surrounding table did not experience this.

Extremely unprofessional hostess. I arrived after work to meet my husband and friends who were already seated at a table so I sat at an empty table on the side of them, ordered a drink and was deciding on food. One of the hostess asked me if I could move as they had a 4 top they were trying to seat, out of respect I got up and stood with my drink so the people could be seated. One of the parties at my husband’s table was paying his tab and getting ready to leave. A new hostess came over to me and said, “you need to get out of the way, you were already asked to move” very loudly embarrassing both myself and the party she was seating by the looks on their faces. At this point I asked to speak to management, which I don’t like to do but felt it was necessary, and was told by management, “oh, she’s young”! I’m sorry but that is not an excuse to be rude to paying customers. Another customer who spoke on my behalf approached her to tell her she was extremely unprofessional and she proceeded to get loud with him as well. We have come to the Rookery a few times as we usually frequent the Aviary. This was an awful experience that was unnecessary and uncalled for. Young or not, this little girl needs better training in the hospitality business. Very disappointing.

***I would like to add that the owner responded quickly to my complaint and stated she addressed both employees and apologized for my experience.

We just left here extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Had reservations for NY day. Arrived to see parking lot pretty empty and now we know why. Buffet was not refreshed when we got there and didn’t look appealing at all. For the money it cost it was terrible! Coffee was ice cold and terrible coffee to begin with so switched to soda which I never drink and was charged for it on top of the outrageous price for what this buffet offered. Nothing looked appealing when I saw this buffet and nothing left me satisfied with what I ate. I ate just because I was paying for it. Frozen pastries, French toast was frozen too. Looked like not much effort went into wowing guest that’s for sure. Sauce on the chicken parm tasted like prego so couldn’t eat that. Fish was blah. Only thing decent was the fruit.Caesar salad was ok, would have been better if they actually put more shaved parm cheese on it. Cookies were stale. Food is not quality. Prime Rib was way over cooked! No au jus.
Oh and if you wanted tea you had to get it yourself and the supposed hot water was cold too. Place was a complete ripoff $160 later. They need to focus more on the food than the decorating. I like a place that has an ambiance but the food makes it or breaks it and this was a deal breaker for me. I don’t mind paying if the food is good, This was not.

I was there late afternoon today entertaining business associates at your pub and witnessed an extremely rude blonde hostess. She was loud and beyond rude with a customer who was standing having a drink. Everyone at our table heard it and was embarrassed for the customer so I can imagine how she felt. Not the level of professionalism I would want as the face of my company. Bartender/waitstaff is superb so I would like to give credit where credit is due.

I have ordered the same burger from this restaurant several times, always with American cheese, and it used to be consistently very good. However, during my last few online orders, I specifically requested—and paid for—American cheese, only to receive cheddar each time. While it may seem like a small detail, when the burger is nearly $20, I expect to receive exactly what I paid for.

After the issue repeated itself, my husband contacted the restaurant. Instead of offering a simple apology, the staff member explained that their online vendor had not yet updated the website to reflect the new American cheese option and said he would reach out to have it corrected. Unfortunately, that does not resolve the fact that customers are being charged for an option that isn’t being honored.

For clarity, I ordered directly through their website, not a third-party service.

I’ve enjoyed their food in the past, but repeated mistakes and lack of accountability have made the experience frustrating. I hope they take the necessary steps to update their system and ensure accuracy moving forward.

My wife and I came out to try the Rookery Pub after having liked the Aviary next door. Firstly our waitress Jess was above the rest, incredibly friendly and full of jokes. The host was so polite and welcoming. We got the house chips and guacamole to start, which were good. I got Steak Frites, which were beautifully cooked and delicious. My wife got the ‘Bama burger which she said was the bomb!

We loved the whole experience, the atmosphere and the food. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow! Such a solid place with a good atmosphere. They were so busy tonight but everything was top notch! I ordered the deviled eggs, burger “as rare as possible” and 2 dirty martini’s. The deviled eggs were balanced so well, the burger was cooked to the perfect emp and the dirty martini’s were amazing. Our server was also top notch and was right on top of it. Even the hostess grabbed us a spoon when she was walking by and we needed help. A++ IM SO GLAD I ATE HERE!

This restaurant is new, opened not too long ago. It’s attached to The Aviary Restaurant as an extension of their business, with a different menu. The Rookery offers a nice selection of burgers, flatbreads, sandwiches and beverages in a cozy, home like atmosphere. It is on the smaller side, with tables close together but we didn’t fell crowded. We walked by a nice bar area with seating headin to our table. The Rookery replaced the fomer Tickles Gift Shop that was on the property. I had the Apple Cider Sangria (delicious!) while my friend had a glass of wine. We dined on Buffalo Chicken Flatbreads, also delicious! The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Overall a great dining experience and we will definitely return for more!
