Nice patio to sit on top of the rooftop with a view of the Mission. We came in during Happy Hour (4-6pm), ordered ceviche, the rooftop burger and pulled pork sandwich. Food was prepared fresh but generally lacked flavor for all 3. We enjoyed the view and open air and so was our dog. Toward the end of the meal there was a large private party came in and took over the covered area next to us. We felt weird sitting there and left. Wish they told us that before we sat down. Otherwise we would have stayed longer.

I hosted my engagement party last Sunday afternoon. The guests had an amazing time as the enjoyed the stunning location great service and great food! Ilimela Stockmaster is the best venue coordinator and event plannee that I’ve worked with (and I’m in the industry). She made sure that every detail was attended to. Thank you to the entire team!!

This is a beautiful, cozy rooftop restaurant location in San Juan Capistrano. It has a casual, friendly vibe, with elevated pub fare and an inventive cocktail menu. They don’t have gluten free bread but they were happy to do a lettuce wrap on my swordfish sandwich, which looked great and tasted even better!

Great vibe, very warm-weather in/out door feel. Menu has changed – posted attached. Corn appetizer was Excellent. We had a small issue with the check, but it was fixed quickly and easily. Overall, good place with great food.

Lovely patio with terrific food. Archie and his staff have done a fantastic job. I highly reccomend the gran torino cocktail and the grilled chicken sandwich. Please make sure you drop in when in San Juan Capistrano

It all looks beyond amazing
Ordered banana chimichanga and huevos rancheros with sausage on the side.
The whipped cream with chimichangas wasnt stiff/whipped properly. The ice cream made the Nutella kinda freeze and get sticky. The banana fell out of the chimichangas with any bite or fork attempt.
The huevos rancheros were definitely better. The side sausages were also good but I suppose I expected them to be even better ..

The food is okay but the restaurant and staff leave a lot to be desired. I would describe the restaurant as dingy and in need of updates. The staff had bored and bothered looks on their faces. Drinks also were just okay, nothing special. Also, careful parking in the structure if it’s late at night. There were shady characters hanging around the structure probably waiting for vulnerable females going to their cars.

What a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours in San Juan Capistrano. Came here for the second time. The atmosphere is quite relaxing and inviting. Nice soft music in the background keeps the place alive. Great drinks, especially the margarita was wonderful. Met up Archie the owner who mingles with customers and make everyone feel welcomed. Appetizers where delicious. My favorite was the Brussel sprouts with a delicious sweet chili vinaigrette and pepper. And the dinner was just as delicious. We had the pan seared salmon.
San Juan Capistrano is a great destination, and this jewel of a restaurant makes it a perfect evening. Try it.

We went to hear Greg Vail on Sax. The patio is cute. Music, of course, was great. The food that night was marginal. I had a burger that tasted like it had been charred with a butane torch. Partner had a salad that was acceptable.
We’ll give it another try, if the music is worth it.

So…….. I have been to rooftop 3-4 times in the last 6 months and I’m not going to lie and say the service was A+ because it wasn’t due to the lack of staff. But I won’t blame the staff for the lack of. I’ll blame ownership. What I will blame the staff for is lack of respect for a paying customer. I had a table for a late lunch there today at 2pm and around 4/5pm my waiter informed my guests and i that they were turning over for dinner so they had a reservation at our table. So we graciously paid for the 2nd time at our table (mind you they told us this 1 hour prior but not that we had to move but that the staff was turning over”) after we paid. $300 mind you. We brought our drinks to the bathroom. Used it. Finished them. And headed back to the bar with a couple we my girlfriend and I were with. Immediately upon entering the bar area we were treated horribly. The bartender specifically told us verbatim “I cannot serve you” there was no specific reason why. When I asked why he could not serve me, he just was adamantly saying NO! My friend is African American, and to be honest I never had been told No before as a paying customer. I’m clearly not overly intoxicated to the point of not being able to be served, as I am writing this review within 2 hours of leaving the bar. My friend who lives in LA. Felt extremely uncomfortable after that. Especially since the two patron women sitting next to us at the bar told us to leave because we were a “disturbance” to her and were talking with the bartender that told us he could not serve us. When I asked the women coherently “excuses me what is the exact problem because I’d like to know” their response was “you just can’t be served here and need to go. You are loud” I was just very confused. We had a table all afternoon and went to the bathroom and walked up to the bar. Our voice level should have not had any affect on the patrons whatsoever. The bartender at this establishment was completely out of line and the patrons were of no help. Very racist, clearly, there was no issue. As a white woman who has friends of every race and ethnicity I am appalled. I am armenian and of a diaspora of people who have been part of genocide. I never used that as a crutch and have felt for a while many races have. But I am not confused anymore. This restaurant is disgusting. The staff their are extremely racist. There is no other reason for what they did. I spent over $300 between my friends and i tabs and then to be treated like this. Disgusting!
