Mind Set On Travel
Opening night of 2026 and had to get to the Rooftop Bar located on the 6th floor of The Water’s Hotel. We only had drinks this trip and enjoyed the front view. Seating also on the back deck as well as inside.

Such a fun experience. The views are stunning and the food was the best of our trip. The pulled pork nachos and chicken tacos were incredible. My cobb salad with grilled chicken was fresh, delicious, and filling. My kiddo said the hamburger sliders were great too. We all left full and happy. Make this a must see if you’re in the area.

I didn’t eat here, I was just looking for the best old fashioned in town, and I found it. The view is great, fun atmosphere, blah blah blah, the bartender Kristin KNOWS how to make a drink. Stop by for after dinner drinks, you won’t be disappointed.

This place has totally lived up to our expectations! But I didn’t say our expectations were good… 🙂

After placing the order the waitress came back several times to ask for our order, having forgotten what we ordered and if we ordered anything at all. After confirming the order, the wait began.

Thankfully the view was beautiful, so we could afford to wait 20 or so minutes to get 1 drink. Somehow 2 drinks were brought out even though we specifically asked for 1, but who can blame the staff, we only confirmed our order 2-3 times.

The drink was a pineapple mojito and it looked very gross. The visibly old crumbles of mint and a long piece of someone’s hair inside the cup were not helping the look.

Beautiful view though. You will have plenty of time to enjoy it while you wait for your order!

Great spot and great view, but dank smell and so-so service. Bartender and helper (cook?, not sure what he was doing). Outdoor “heaters” are more for ambiance and not really for heat. Pricey. $12 for a small slice of cheesecake they clearly bought frozen. This place has a lot of potential and I could see if being GREAT when it warms up and with a larger social group, but not sure how it could handle being busy with limited staff

The service here was extremely poor. I told the waitress I planned to order additional dishes and drinks after reviewing the menu, but she **never** came back – not even to take payment. I had ordered one dish before she disappeared, and later I overheard a kitchen staff member point to us and ask, “Did they order something?” Her response: “Oh yeah…” Clearly, our order had not been communicated. We were already on the verge of leaving, but after seeing this exchange, I knew they were working on the order, so I waited. The dish came, but we were not going to order anything else. We had to *beg* at the front to pay. No one was paying attention. We could have easily left without paying and no one would have noticed or cared.

This was a Saturday night, yet the restaurant was not busy – just us and one other couple. The other couple had the exact same experience. They had to beg just to get water and also to pay.

We left hungry and ended up going to another restaurant to finish having dinner. For a Saturday night, when you’d expect the best staff, the lack of service was shocking.

Beautiful view and particularly good food. Their chips salsa and queso are amazing. But everything on the menu is quite good but this is my top five places to eat in Hot springs.

Great view, good music, great drinks, excellent atmosphere. Food menu feels a bit limited, but there is something for everyone. Only place like it in town!

Let’s talk food reviews!!!

The Rooftop, Hot Springs, AR.

Last week I took an impromptu trip to Hot Springs Arkansas. I chose a hotel I had seen before but never stayed at before. The Waters at 340 Central Ave. in downtown Hot Springs. The location was excellent, second only to the service.

For dinner I chose their rooftop restaurant and bar. The Rooftop as it was properly named. It offered amazing views on downtown and the mountains in the distance.

This is how their website explains it

Our exclusive rooftop terrace features indoor and outdoor space with garage door windows and awe-inspiring views of downtown Hot Springs and the National Forest. An inviting atmosphere for lunch, dinner, and drinks. Gather with your friends, family and co-workers and enjoy the best views in Hot Springs on The Rooftop.

Upon reaching the bar I was greeted immediately by Kay the bartender. She was outgoing and delightful and visited with me while suggesting some of their signature cocktails. I selected and promptly served as we discussed the menu.

I selected their version of a Caprese salad, an Heirloom tomato, avocado mousse, mozzarella, white balsamic vinaigrette salad followed by their Cajun Shrimp a dish of
Blackened jumbo shrimp, dirty rice, remoulade.
I will say both were absolutely delicious. Perfect serving sizes and very filling. I got to meet and visit with the cook Chris. I had to let him know just how great everything was. He was a great guy and seemed to really put heart into the dishes he made.
I honestly chose The Rooftop for the view and to not have to walk too far in the heat but to my surprise it turned out to be an awesome experience. Thanks to an amazing view, a totally awesome staff, and delicious meal.
If you are ever in Hot Springs I highly recommend The Rooftop and make sure you ask for Kay and tell her Chef Hunter Lee sent you.
I will def be back.
