Fantastic atmosphere! The drinks are so delicious and always made to perfection, and super yummy. I absolutely adore the staff, they are super attentive and always make sure everyone feels welcomed; and always friendly! Not to mention the beautiful view! Who doesn’t want to enjoy a delicious espresso martini under the sunset? Honestly cannot wait to go back! 5/5! ⭐️ If you’re in Salem I will always highly recommend the roof!

We ordered tacos, came on a paper plate my wife’s tacos toppings weren’t even on the inside of the shell, asked for salsa and they didn’t have any. Multiple Mexican food items on menu without salsa. Bees will swarm on you while eating and the wind being on the roof is a challenge keeping everything on the table.

Take the elevate to ‘The Roof’ is located on top of the Salem Hotel with good ariel views of the city. Service and atmosphere are desirable. The food menu is quite small with starters have the most to choose from. The entree menu was mostly burrito options. Large beverage selection. Prices are competitive.

As I mention in another review for a pizza place in Salem, we visit often but most of the time in October when it’s so busy, you don’t get to enjoy the best Salem has to offer.
Well our friends went on a tour and we had a couple of hours to kill, so we decided to check this place out. There was no wait to get a drink at the roof and although it was a bit chilly, it was a nice first day of fall so we walked right up.
We only had a couple of drinks and some nachos for an appetizer, but everything was great, even a blueberry root beer I tried that was one of the best sodas I’ve tried that wasn’t a cola.
But the next party is the view of Salem from there. The prices for our drinks was decent and I would go there again, even if it were just for the atmosphere (and to try a crab dip I saw after we ordered the nachos :p).

Found this roof top bar during a day trip to Salem. Great spot to grab a drink and snack away from the Salem crowds. Serve was good, and we had nachos with pulled pork, which was really good. There’s not much shade when the full sun is out, but it’s definitely worth a stop.

Great atmosphere. The lobster quesadillas are awesome! The wings were bland and the manager was nice enough to remove them from our bill. The drinks are delicious and most can be made as mock-tails which I appreciated as the designated driver.

I wanted to give this place a good review because we had a good experience while we were there. However, that changed when I saw my bank statement a few days later. I had paid the bill using a card. And tipped in cash. Filled the slip in with a zero on the tip line and wrote the total amount on the total line. Bill was $209. I left a $50 cash tip, which we thought was generous. Because our waitress was nice. To my surprise, an additional $50 tip was added to my bill. I visited this restaurant on 9/27/25. Noticed the additional charge on 9/30/25. I called immediately to talk to someone. I provided them with the check number and exact times of the tab being opened and the time my card was swiped to make it easier on their end. I was told I would be contacted by management from food and beverage that day. No one called. I called the following day. And was told no one was in for management for that department and to be on standby. Which I explained is unacceptable because this is now fraud, you’ve taken an addition $50. I called the day after, and was told it might be easier if I stop in, this was a day trip to Salem. Stopping in is not an option, it’s not that hard to pick up the phone and return a phone call. Each time I’ve tried calling since 10/3/25, I get no answer now. So I have had to contact my bank and report this now as fraud. And write this review since I see that these reviews get responses pretty fast. Kindy funny how you can respond to Google review much faster than returning a simple phone call. Had I gotten a call. I wouldn’t have posted this. However, here we are. Maybe this will get your attention.

Super cool rooftop bar and restaurant. The food is so bland! The guacamole has barely any avocado and no flavor. The nachos have no cheese, but some weird cheese sauce and 4 black beans. The carnitas had zero flavor.

Eating brunch on the roof deck was appealing, but the experience was a little disappointing. The layout and seating were inviting. It was nice to eat out in the open air, but there isn’t much of a view; you can’t see the water. Although that was a little disappointing, our biggest complaint was with the food.
The eggs that topped the chorizo hash lacked flavor and the chorizo was surprisingly undercooked for our preference. The meat was pink, and even though the manager explained that was how it is supposed be served, I would have preferred to have been asked how we would like it cooked or at least warned that it would be rare.
This place is probably a great place to get drinks and apps, but I would not go there for brunch again.
