We were greeted when we walked in. Small yet cute spot. They hada decent menu on paper but my tastebuds didnt agree with the brussel sprouts the bread pudding however was a hit. I forgot to take a picture.

Pizza was great as always, fresh and unique. Pistachio espresso martini 10/10 and the sticky finger pie. Service and atmosphere perfect.

Have you ever seen an ad for a place or something that really intrigued you? That happened to me with this place, I saw an ad about it and I just had to go there and try their pizza. And I have to tell you it was great, they make small-ish pizza wood fired, thin crust and fresh toppings, some of witch you would not expect to see on a pizza. The place is small but cozy and inviting, the service was top notch, and the price was very acceptable, there is a park right outside their door with some exterior dining available I guess, and a farmers market also on certain days, if I hadn’t seen the ad I saw I would have not found this gem of an interesting pizza spot, I like it and I definitely am going back.

The food is always amazing. 10/10. Even though it’s a small dining area, you never feel rushed! I absolutely love it here.

It is a great place for a new twist on pizza
Service, cozy ambiance, pizza and salad were exceptional. I admire the creativity
Overall, I am giving it 3 stars because the pizza crust I suspect is not fresh. I confirmed it on my 2nd visit – Frozen Nan. Did not see dough maker or flatter or a trace of flour in the kitchen. The price of pizza is a bit high. It should be around $9 max for the size. I paid $13 for each.
Next time will try ravioli ….. more update to follow.

First time here tonight. While it’s much smaller than I expected, that’s okay! Their food was AMAZING! And the restaurant is so cute. I loved all the hand painted menu signs. Very cool. Also, we got the meatballs, stoner bites, arugula and prosciutto salad, and the choke-n-shroom pizza. AND the watermelon margs… tasty. 10/10 from us!

The Rolling Stonebaker is the secret best restaurant in Valpo. If you’ve been to this unpretentious yet iconic spot, and just ordered the pizzas and Stoner bites, you have missed the best part. The regular menu of creative and well-made options are great but you are missing the true magic of this tiny gem!
The specials menu is a masterpiece of creativity and flavor. Each week features amazing appetizers, entrees and desserts that can’t be beat anywhere in town for flavor, food quality, and execution. Fine dining restaurants have nothing on the Stonebaker.
Did I mention how talented and conscientious the staff is? The service is friendly, they do an amazing job with their limited kitchen operations, and they care about making high quality food, not just getting the orders out the door.
Sometimes the best things are hidden in plain sight. Don’t let this hidden beauty escape your gaze.
