What a spot for an authentic fish and chips experience. There’s nothing like eating fish or seafood whilst over looking the sea.
My girlfriend’s fish and chips was really tasty, with the fish being nice and soft in the middle and the batter light and crispy on the outside. Gluten free batter too, which was a pleasant surprise and similar in quality to a regular gluten batter. Of importance, the chips resembled those served in a fish and chippy, which for me is what I love and well essentially the whole point with fish and chips. Ohh also the tartare sauce served on the side was amazing!
I was fancy and ordered the lobster at market price (yeh I ordered with out knowing the market price, the best way to order). The lobster was beautifully seasoned with garlic butter and was just luxurious. My girlfriend and I captured every last morsel of the beautiful creature.
The service was great and the ambience smelled like the sea.

Beautiful spot for a warm delicious meal. Had the chowder and tea. They’ve built a beautiful shelter over what I believe was originally a Bothy. Beautiful views.

Visited on a warm August Sunday and enjoyed one of the best fish & chips and salt and pepper squid we’ve ever had—well-cooked, not greasy, with generous serving of chips. Service was quick and friendly, toilets clean. Great wine list with alcohol-free beer options. Family-friendly with stunning views over the harbour and Bass Rock. Popular spot—reservations recommended!

We had a wonderful time visiting the restaurant after our hike. They’re dog friendly and cook deliciously. Tried the breaded fish (half portion) and chips and their signature burger with bacon and cheese both are recommended. Our puppy got a bowl of water and snacks too, the chef even snuck him some sausages of course he asked first if it was okay.

When I arrived in North Berwick, I was chatting with a local gentleman, and he highly recommended this place. The seafood chowder was the best I’ve ever had. And you can get the fish and chips either breaded or grilled!

Both the girlfriend and I had Haddock and Chips and they were absolutely lovely. Atmosphere was cosy, service was brilliant. All round great experience, if ever in the area again we’ll be back.

Great place and will definitely go back. Great value and the food was really really good. The seafood chowder was special and the lobster and crab brioche roll looked fantastic but I went for the squid. Highly recommend the restaurant and North Berwick
