Called when they opened, but no one answered and left a message to inquire if a reservation was needed for 7.
With no response…we went ahead to see and found the main dining area was closed and the place is really quiet. Only spot open was at the bar.
Sad thing is that there was only the bartender to man the place and 2 chefs in the back. Apparently there isnt really much of a staff willing to show up and help handle the crowds that came in waves.
We placed our orders and expected to wait for some time considering the staffing situation. Not a problem considering we had a good group to chat with.
Food showed up after some time and…well…it was good. Not the greatest, but not the worst.
Good thing I like my pizza crispy…but it definitely spent more time in the oven than it should have.
Wings have the usual hot sauce like other places. Would be nice to have more options and to crank the heat level up on them. Portion size is worth that though.
No one really complained or had much of anything negative to say from the pizza and pastas we ordered.
Cool thing is that the people around were good sports and joined in with singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dad.
I noticed that a table from earlier sat cluttered for the time from when we arrived to when we left. There was a gal who showed up and started helping the bartender. But I noticed a lady that had been there the whole time and didn’t seem concerned and was above helping out any. If that was a manager…then I can see why people wouldn’t be willing to show up and do what needs to be done. It almost sounded like an ongoing issue based off other reviews.
I remember going here years ago and it’s a shame it seems to have lost its fire…
I would visit again.
The garlic bread and the bucket called Dont Fear The Reaper was amazing. New favorite is the Breakfast at Tiffany’s Mimosa.
Also ordered the roasted brussel sprouts with bacon and honey/Sriracha sauce. Tasty, a bit sweeter than expected. Wife ordered a half-Mediterranean salad (we shared the sprouts) and was happy with it.
We sat in the bar, decent crowd, attentive service, music not obnoxiously loud.
