Another one of those perplexing places. The other reviews are correct that everyone was pleasant, food good but service… ummm slow. I’m use to pizza being cooked with all the toppings being part of the cooking process. It almost seemed like the the pie was cooked then the toppings added and then reheated. I don’t know if that’s what’s done but toppings were not cooked but warm and the pie hot. Weird! They were training someone so that’s a plus. The place is well decorated and music forward. Will go back another time to try there red beer. Nothing made me say… hey this is a great place and I want to go back.

Awfully hit or miss service; seems the last two or three times we were in the restaurant was pretty dead but it took almost 40 minutes for a salad, sandwich and one small cheese pizza. Time before that was similar. Quality of food doesn’t seem as superior as it used to be. Used to be really satisfied with this location and would of perhaps rated 5 star but as of the last few times we’ve been disappointed..maybe new management or staff? Either way hoping this location can perform better.

First time I’ve been to a Rock Woodfired pizza. The lunch special was so good, including a salad and pizza. My server Fern was an absolute doll, very attentive, personable and fun. He was managing the entire restaurant during peak lunch time which was quite impressive. I will definitely be back, and to visit Fern at the Renton location!

The food, drinks and atmosphere were great! The pizza was amazing, the garlic mozz bread incredible, the sandwich was yummy, calozone was great. The broccoli and chicken, could use more broccoli and and more sauce.

TL;DR: Don’t. Just don’t with this The Rock. I’m told other locations are better, but this was a hilariously bad meal that careened from problem to problem.
Let me start with what went ok. The service staff was great, constantly refilling drinks and checking on us regularly. Things went well there up until the bill. More on that later.
First up, the restaurant was dark and dingy, and the décor was militaristic enough to make my dining companion uncomfortable. Evidently that’s not normal décor for The Rock. Pizza, with a side of jingoism!
The prices were expensive for pizza (and everything else), which would have mattered a lot less to us if we actually got what we ordered. I got a “garlic bread” starter and my companion ordered a 16″ pizza.
The “garlic bread” turned out to be a small cheese pizza with garlic butter. There wasn’t a trace of color to be found on that crust or bottom. The only way I knew it was wood fired was that the name of the restaurant says it was “wood fired.”
The same held true of my companion’s pizza. Not a scrap of char or color to the crust or toppings. Also, as you’ll recall, his was supposed to be 16 inches. Now, I’m no size queen, but I know when someone’s lying about their length. Achem. A quick AR measurement with my phone showed we had a 13″ pizza. That’s nearly 70 square inches less pizza. For a LOT of money.
Even the server noted that it was no 16″ pizza and offered us a refire. Sadly, the replacement pizza that came out was also only about 14″. And as pale as a starving vampire. At this point we weren’t going to complain.
But then came the bill. As my buddy finished paying, I noticed that the handheld point of sale had charged him $100 on a $50 bill. This started a whole new round of the nightmare as the manager tried to refund the extra items that had been added to our bill. Except that the refund wasn’t for the correct amount. The software was still overcharging even with the additional items removed.
So finally we got them to cancel the whole check and recharge the card (which is what you’re supposed to do in the first place).
I think dinner ended up taking us two hours between the refire on the pizza and the half an hour of wasted time on the erroneous bill.
My friend said, “I’m never coming back here.” Me either.

So, 18 minutes just to get a server to come to the table. We sat by the bar with only 7 other customers around so not very busy. The food was good, the drinks are good but it took quite a bit of time for a quick bite I wanted. The only unfortunate part for this location is only two servers in the bar area, there was roughly 32 customers in the bar by the time I was leaving. Customers kept walking up to the bar to order food and drinks instead of their tables. The server, I think his name was Justice or Justin actually made the time worth while. I unfortunately will be going back to my regular The rock instead of here.

Seriously? It’s not a special place, but a great neighborhood joint with cocktails and pizza foods. Fun rock-n-roll theme throughout. There are better drinks and pizza elsewhere, but not within a few miles, so here I am with my shaken-to-bits Manhattan that I taught the bartenders to make ‘perfect’ with my friend and here we’ll be here willingly almost every Tuesday.

Excellent wood fire pizzas! Me and my wife ordered the crazy train, and one of their specialities with sweet Thai sauce on top. So good! I was so enthralled by the pizzas I forgot to take pictures. 10/10 will eat again

Delicious pizza absolutely delicious buckets buckets are worth it the place gets busy and then it takes forever for you to get your food and service come during the slow time and you’ll have a great experience. Needs a bit of a deep clean but just don’t look around too much and you won’t notice
