I went here Thursday night and they were super busy. Even though they were busy I had some of the best service I’ve ever had in the Madison area. Both the women and gentleman working that night (11/13/25) were awesome. Drink was never empty and always refilled. Love the pool tables there.

Happy, friendly atmosphere, smiles and accepting vibe. Everyone welcome. My husband and I had the ribs and steak sandwich, absolutely delicious! Seems like a hidden gem. The bartender (owner) so nice and personable.

The Rock is very welcoming, from the billiards tables worthy of league play to the dart machines that are set away from the tables, you’ll enjoy the nice open atmosphere and top quality food. If you like just good quality food, then you must stop by. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. You must have the Friday fish fry; best in town!

We love supporting local businesses but this will be our last time at this place. The inside is nice and clean but the service isn’t very friendly including the owner themselves. I don’t recommend doing birthday gathering here if your group is more than 4 people because they will keep reminding you to be quiet and give you the stare down. Don’t waste your hard earned money here because you will be disappointed.

This is a great place for a drink and a bite to eat! The menu has multiple hidden gems. The daily specials are all pretty good. The fish fry is top notch. The beer selection is always evolving while staple options, from Coors light to Capital Amber are always available. Staff is from, the pool and dart leagues have decent turn out, and the staff is awesome.

The service is always excellent, and the “2-fer” lunch special hits the spot (I usually get the cranberry pecan salad, which is excellent along with a grilled ham and cheese sandwich). Not too much food but just right, and the price is excellent. There are multiple TVs tuned to various sports channels, with pool tables and slot machines and a bar if you want a beer or a mixed drink. The place is clean, and the owner generally stops by to make sure everything is fine. The place is a local business, too.
