Your classic mountain town restaurant.

The servers were kind.

Food was alright.

Really lived the fact that the restaurant was inclusive and hung up 2 pride flags. One big one right outside.

We got the bison pasta and NY Strip.

The steak was mediocre, chewy and slightly overcooked. The bison was a tad gamey but still good.

Still a decent place. You just can’t be very choosy when you’re up in a mountain town.

Great little place a local told us about to have dinner was casual comfortable and food was great had steak and mashed potatoes side of buffalo wings and dates wrapped in bacon so good. Sweet and savory combo. Our waitress was awesome she pegged me immediately that I came from New Hampshire lol she was a Massachusetts transplant. Had live entertainment that wasn’t over bearing you could enjoy your meal and have conversation without being drowned out by music so that was also a plus for me.

Loved the vibe of the restaurant. We went early and didn’t have to wait for a table. We ordered the elk sausage and the spinach artichoke dip for appetizers. Both were very good. The casing on the sausage was a little tough but the flavor was great. The dip wasnt like anything I’d had before but it was so good and had a little heat to it. For entrees we ordered the stroganoff and the chipotle rainbow trout. The fish was amazing and cooked to perfection. The stroganoff was good with tender pieces of steak. I only wish the sauce had been thicker. The live music was an awesome addition to the overall vibe. We were worried that it would be too loud sitting right next to the musician but it was perfect.

Service and food was great! The bacon wrapped dates were very tasty and we loved the trout with dill and butter! The meat on the mains were done very well but the sides were a little lacking in flavor. 10/10 would recommend.

Another off the beaten path restaurant find that did not disappoint.

The atmosphere is exactly what you look for when you’re in the Rockies, but you can tell this is very much a locals spot.

Great recommendation from the server on the Buffalo meatballs, they were so good.

The pizza was also very good and nice and crispy!

Giving a 5star because it deserved it, but wish I could do 1/2. 4.5 because I did have one of the worst mules I’ve ever had and the bartender at the bar was very rude.

But still a 5 over a 4 in my book.

We loved it, a great experience, we had the Taragon Filet Mignon, with fries-veggies and mashed pototes, and we also had spinach-atrichoke dip and bread with cinnamon-honey butter, and a moutain top margerhitta, our server Lily was outstanding, and we also loved the live music too, so we highly recommend this establishment

Great stop for some local food and beer. We especially liked the elk sausage and bison meatballs. For lighter fare- I recommend the salad with a serving of salmon on top. It’s loud, so not necessarily a cozy place and always crowded.

If you’re looking for live music and a rustic, inviting atmosphere, this place has that. If you’re looking for good food, this isn’t the place. I had the $26 baked mac and cheese special, (I know, who would spend $26 on Mac and cheese?) and it tasted like it was out of a can. The pasta and the cheese were the same texture. I don’t think my chickens would eat the stuff. Super disappointed to pay $48 for Mac and cheese and one beer.

We came here our last night in Estes Park and we are so happy we did! The man that greeted us at the door was very kind and let us know that we could wait at one of the near by tables and order drinks while we waited, very welcoming and a great start since there was a little bit of a wait ( not a problem at all) the live music was great and just the right volume and the song choices were excellent. Whe we were sat our waiter was very kind and welcomed us letting us know about the specials they had. We ended up ordering the NY strip with the potatoes and vegetables. The steak was hands down one of the best steaks we have ever had and the sides were phenomenal as well! The veggies were just a tab cold but that didn’t bother me much. I would definitely recommend getting dinner here at least once if you have the chance! 10/10 no notes, well done! Oh and they sell homemade candles which is such a warming touch! Glad we found this little hidden gem.

We had the Devil’s on Horseback and they were excellent! Also had Gem salad which was a great variety of yum! The lemon dill buttered trout was perfect and so tasty. We added the steak tips and they had very good flavour. The mashed Yukon mashed potatoes and veggies were very good too. Our waitress was Sam A and she did a great job and was very attentive. Highly recommend!
