The food was fresh, decent portions. Tried a few salads to sample, corn bread, cup of pork, 2 pork belly tacos.
The salads were pretty good but what threw me was I didn’t order black beans – I ordered bean salad.
Don’t get me wrong. I think the black beans were perfectly seasoned for me, and they arrived hot, had them with the seasoned rice. But I was expecting a cold bean salad.
Smoked pasta salad was pretty good I honestly liked the flavor believe it or not and texture was good.
Same with the potato salad.
I liked the coleslaw. It was to my texture and taste.
For me? The pork belly tacos were “eh”- agreed that it absolutely could be a personal preference – which? Makes sense since I ordered it, I’m eating it lol!
Spicy, very sweet and portion was OK.
I think? Next time I would like to try something else – interested to hear what anyone else thinks of the pork belly tacos.
Seasoned rice I got because I wanted it to go with the beans.
Last but at least, was the pork, I wish they had drained it and that it wasn’t so wet (water/oil)?
But? I did enjoy it. Good flavor, tender, mild enough when I drained it, I made sandwiches with my own dressing, etc.
Next time I would like to try their chicken and see if that is tender and flavorful, but I like that everything was a good even flavor and seasoned perfectly other than the pork belly for me.

This was my first and last time at The Roasting Company. The staff was extremely rude and dismissive when I mentioned the pot pie arrived in a flimsy, falling-apart container — they actually blamed *me* for the mess. Really? I didn’t pack it. AND they advertise it to go.
Got a tiny, burnt corn muffin to go with it. Great.
The place smelled off the moment I walked in, and it went downhill from there.
Poor service, sad food, zero accountability.
I wouldn’t recommend this spot to anyone. A common theme with many of their reviews specifically mention how rude management and staff is, I for one experienced, not only two rude employees, but was also hung up on which seems to be a theme dating years back from this establishment.

Roasting Company on Montford is always a great stop. The food is really good and comes out fast, and the portions are absolutely huge. Everything tastes fresh and well seasoned, and the staff keep things moving without feeling rushed. It is the kind of place where you leave full and happy every time. I wil definitely keep coming back whenever am in the area.

Hands down the best hospitality I’ve had in a long time. Sonya went above and beyond — she made the entire experience feel personal and welcoming. The food was incredible — locally raised chicken and vegetables that were super fresh and full of flavor. I’m a foodie from Charlotte and very picky, and this spot completely impressed me. The rotisserie chicken and pasta salad were amazing, and the prices are unbeatable. You can’t find a cocktail under $15 these days, but I got a Tito’s cocktail here for only $6! 10/10 vibes, fresh food, and unbeatable service.

A laid back spot with great value that offers something to everybody. Either looking at healthy choices, vegetarians, or more delectable items. I wanna say that they have Costa Rican focus from the sauces offered. They also feature a bar so it definitely adds a reason to come here and hangout.
The food is good, the buffalo wrap was a bit more dry but the chicken filling was delicious especially paired with their Jacko sauce. I also tried the Carolina pork bowl and it was delicious! The Mac and cheese too was very good!
The only area I was left a little confused was that the menu needs a little more explanation. Like what is Jacko, what is Rocco, and what is Tico?

Food came out ultra fast and was delicious. I had the brisket sandwich with a side of macaroni & cheese. The brisket sandwich was huge, which was perfect for me because I just dumped half of it in my mac and had the best bowl of mac and cheese ever. Kaleigh got a salad, roasted potatoes and Mac and cheese. I tried the potatoes and they were very tasty. I definitely recommend my plate. I was very full by the time I was done and it was so good.

The Roasting Company never disappoints. The food here is fantastic and it’s quick. The daily specials are always good and you really can’t go wrong with whatever you offer. Had the BBQ meatloaf on my last visit, and it’s delicious.
