I’ve been to this restaurant twice already and haven’t regretted it since. Beautiful atmosphere, the menu was amazing, the bar is fabulous and the bartenders were even better. I would definitely recommend this spot for a fun night out.

Enlightened Being
I give this place an overall 8.5!!! The vibe is good, service was decent. Although i was surprised by some of their food choices, I enjoyed what I had. My food was seasoned to perfection .
My takeaways are to step up their game on the desserts, they only had cupcakes and to be listed as an upscale buffet, the desserts should be top tier. The bar and lounge is a grown atmosphere but was a lil disappointed in not being fully stocked. i did have a lemon drop and it was guuddd, bartender did her thang. Didn’t try the pizza yet, but soon.
I’m sure once all the kinks are straightened out, this place is going to be a great place to go especially as we go into the warmer months.

Our meal had far too much salt in it. But the server offered to remake it, and that was really wonderful on their part. We didn’t accept their generous offer, but it was amazing that they did ask. We were there pretty late in the day so I guess they were done for the evening.. probably more suited to a younger crowd. And maybe the extra salt was ideal for those looking to drink, but it wasn’t to my taste.

The food was definitely made with love, someone auntie in the kitchen doing what she loves. Buffet was a good price for dinner and the selection was really good for all type of eaters. Couldnt upload the videos i took but tried to screen shot but it don’t do it justice. Will definitely coming back and recommending

First it was Latin Soul (amazing food, service, staff and atmosphere), then it was Indulge for a minute and now it’s River Cafe! The quality of food, the service/staff, and atmosphere went alllll the way down AND IN THAT ORDER! The food is horrible. We had oxtail empanadas…we still can’t identify the meat AND they made them with CHEESE!!! OXTAILS AND CHEESE DON’T EVEN BELONG IN THE SAME DAMN SENTENCE! The lobster mac n cheese was swimming in grease and we had yo take a search warrant out to find the slivers of lobster! We asked the waiter/server/greeter (who has the personality of a dead fish) all in one to take the cheese oxtail empanadas off the bill. She said oh no we don’t do that! The fact that at LUNCH time…there were FOUR patrons there. Oh and while the sign outside says River Cafr…the water glasses still say Indulge ♀️! I don’t know what kind of pallet/tastebuds the folks have that left more than 2 stars have, but there are far better eateries in Poughkeepsie to support. Ok rant over.

Went in for pizza but realized it’s the same restaurant as Indulge. Before that it was a different name. I was there when they had a buffet and probably prefer that more. Not sure why the name keeps changing but to me that’s not a good sign. Pizza is still okay, nice environment and nice location because it’s near the train station, waterfront, and other small ethnic spots to eat at. You have Jamaican and Dominican right up the street and Actually there’s an authentic pizza spot up the street, short walk. Hopefully this time restaurant lasts so it can become a strong establishment in the area.

Went for the music and drinks, the place is definitely beautiful and great music and atmosphere. The drinks where overpriced for poor quality and served in really small amounts. My wife ask for a margarita it was served in a martini glass and not even half a glass, i ordered an IPA and it was completely flat not one bubble on sight. The food was good but the cashier attitude was one of a person that would rather be somewhere else. I give this place a 2.5 cause of food and a beautiful place i give a 0 for the drinks and service.

From out of town. Came in for something to eat for breakfast. Asked the staff to choose for me. Recommendation was steak and eggs. Yep! 10/10. Delish and fresh.
Update – day two! Came back so my wife can have the steak and eggs too. On point!! I had the chicken and waffles churros style. Yep! If I lived here I would be a regular. Thank you chef for your recommendations!

Lunch was incredible. Amazing price, and the food was hot and delicious. Our favorite items were the key lime pie, Mac and cheese, and the corn bread. My sister loved the red velvet cake. I really can’t wait to go back!
