Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Charlottesville. The service is unmatched. Our server Andrew truly cared about our experience. The recommendations he made for us were spot on. You just try the peach mule, refreshing and tasty with a hint of sweetness, the perfect summer cocktail. We came for restaurant week and could not put our forks down. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Highly recommend!

Rowan was our server and she was attentive and very knowledgeable with plenty of recommendations. The crab cakes were plump and full of lump crab. I’m hard to please when it comes to crab cakes being from Maryland originally, but they met my standards by a mile! My Manhattan was perfect. We also got the shrimp and linguini, the Korean cauliflower and the oysters Rockefeller, which were all delicious.

Stayed at the Draftsman hotel in Charlottesville, VA and had lunch here before flying back to LGA. Sparsely filled with diners, food was mid-level hotel quality, not special, but definitely not bad either. Highlight was our server Selena who recommended the ranch dressing with the fries. Made all the difference in enjoying our lunch, thank you Selena!

Literally the best food I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled all over the world. I ended up spending around $200 and I didn’t even care. This is the most phenomenal food to ever grace my palette. 10/10 would recommend and I’ll definitely be visiting again! Loved it!

Had a wonderful lunch with friends today. Everything was hot and delicious. Service was great too. Staff greeted us as soon as we entered the door and checked on us throughout our meal frequently. They serve large portions and the prices are appropriate for the quality of food. I ordered the broccolini and it was fresh and cooked perfectly . The chicken sandwich had a nice balance of heat and sweet. Will definitely revisit!!

Stop by for lunch on a Saturday. The place was completely empty. Sat at the bar and order THE ‘Riley Burger’ ($17.50). It came out after a 10 or so minute wait. I had ordered it cooked medium, but it came out well done. Even though it was overcooked, the Burger had a good taste, like it was cooked in the backyard. The burger was served with fries, which were very tasty. This place is worth a try, but I’m not sure I’d get the $18 Burger again.

Possibly the best brunch in Charlottesville, driven by elevated southern dishes that are recognized classics but prepared masterfully. Highly recommend two items: the fried Brussels sprouts, and the roasted chicken. The latter is a huge success which feels like a deconstructed chicken pot pie in the best way – beautifully complemented flavors, perfect texture in the vegetables, very juicy bone-in chicken, and the gravy is absolutely divine. The prices are high for what you’d typically expect in the southern food category but it’s because they are doing this work at a much higher level. It was worth every penny.
