Attentive staff, was able to taste wines before we ordered. The rolls with cinnamon butter was a hair sweet, but good. The Sea Bass was delicious! The grilled Ceasars salad was awesome, lots of bacon and Parm. The ribeye was on the thin side but ample portion, had a herb flavor. The Scalloped potatoes were very good, so was the 11 cheese mac…the Brussels sprouts were maple, but not too sweet. Overall a very good experience, I thought the food was nicely caramelized…I plan on going back.

The Rickhouse was a group favorite this weekend!!! Our waitress took wonderful care of us. We had a phenomenal table by the windows. The old fashioned were marvelous! The spinach artichoke dip and warm bruschetta was amazing!! We tried a wide variety of entrees; filet, ribeye, blueberry salmon, mushroom ravioli and steak pasta. The steaks were all seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ravioli and great cream sauce was a favorite. We left full and headed downtown to taste our way around Bardstown. Definitely agree with assessments that this is the best fine dining in Bardstown!!

We have ate at the Rickhouse several times and it has always been great. We usually get steak, the Ribeye is wonderful. The scalloped potatoes and Brussel sprouts are my favorite sides. The grilled caesar salad is unique and yummy if you can fit it in.

Tobie was our waiter & she was amazing. Classy, friendly & knowledgeable. She was quite professional with style & was quite savy. Our meal was top notch. We had New York Strip steaks, asparagus, bourbon mushrooms & baked potato. The steak was nice thickness almost fork tender & flavor of perfectly grilled as was the potato. It had the perfect char. Not over cooked or under cooked. The skin has to be the right texture for the perfect cook, well enough to eat the entire potato. When its cooked like this its perfection & this one was! Also the Asparagus, it too was perfectly cooked & flavored. I also had lobster tail with a lemony cream glaze. It too was a perfect cook. In my opinion it was the finest cuisine. It was my birthday so they brought out a delicious deep dark chocolate tort with bourbon glaze & whipped cream atop. What perfection to top off the perfect meal. Bravo! Well ✔️ done

Service was a bit slow. Definitely make reservations for this place. The food was tasty. However in my opinion way over priced. The ambiance was great for the type of weekend that my friends and I were doing which was a bourbon filled weekend.

An absolutely outstanding experience!
The Rickhouse exceeded every expectation. The food was phenomenal — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented.
You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in what they serve. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and had that perfect Kentucky charm that makes you want to linger a little longer.
A huge shoutout to Aly, our server, who was truly second to none. She was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
It’s rare to find service this genuine and professional at the same time.
If you’re anywhere near Bardstown, make The Rickhouse a priority — it’s a must-visit!

This resturant is located in the lower level of the city county building in Bardstown. Very unique experience walking into what seems like a bourbon cellar. The food was matched to the atmosphere. The special ribs with bourbon bbq sauce melted in your mouth and had very little fat. The double baked potato was massive and filled to the brim with bacon ,cheese and sour cream. Topped off with fine wine and a complementary chocolate brownie for dessert to celebrate our anniversary. They even put some roses in our table just fir us! Highly recommend visiting this place if you are in Bardstown, KY. But make a reservation because they fill up fast.

This place is real quality. Every individual ingredient in the pasta had its own great unique flavor, even the small things like the peppers. The service was also the great. The chef came to check on us. Our server was Christy.

Had a reservation, it wasn’t extraordinary busy for a Saturday night. Our server was slow to get us drinks, and the appetizers took 30 minutes to come out. The rolls that came to the table were extremely stale and had mold on them as well. Not to mention, when they set the tables they put the silverware INSIDE the glasses you drink out of. Pretty gross. We will not be returning.

A friend and I stopped by last night to check this place out. Great experience! We didn’t have reservations and they were able to get us a table with a very short wait.
The wait staff was very prompt, attentive and helped exploring the different items offered in the menu. Great food and atmosphere. I’ll definitely return in the future.
