As an aviation enthusiast, I wanted to go to any restaurant that had “Rickenbacker” in the name. However, there was nothing aviation-themed about the restaurant except for a few propellers on the wall in the entrance. The food met my minimum standards for quality but was heavily over-priced, and the service was well below average. They charged our group of four a mandatory 18% gratuity, even though we ordered our food to go, ate outside on the patio to watch aircraft taking off, and weren’t served anything. I will not be returning here; there is nothing special about this place.

Stopped here recently to grab dessert one night —yup, just dessert. The restaurant itself is located inside the Sheraton hotel and has a clean feel to it. It’s an interesting spot. Half the restaurant is well lit with ambient lighting, the other half is quite dark and poorly lit —nope, no broken or turned off lights, just dark, not a romantic dark, just dark dark.

This is what is served when you order empanada (s) ? And croquettes. Are you kidding me? Terrible. Like out of a frozen box and microwaved. Granted. I am staying at an airport hotel. I get it. But this isn’t even edible. The guy next to me got a burger and fries that looked amazing! I thought I would go more local. What a waste of a LOT of money and a major mistake.

Horrible, we came here after a long flight and just wanted something to eat. Shame on us for reading the other bad reviews and continuing on. We ordered the Cubano which was impressively disappointing. Their version of pulled pork is a slice of pork of varying gray coloring that looked and tasted old. The bread was stale and overall just slapped together with minimal effort. We finished our drinks and waited to get our check….waited…and waited some more. We finally left after other members of our party volunteered to stay and pay. Horrible food worst service. If you have to eat here get the burger it looked safe. Never got the extra ketchup we asked for though….
