This place was really good! The kalua pork and the hot Hawaiian honey popcorn chicken was excellent!! The hot honey pineapple wings were just a touch dry but the flavor was awesome. The kalbi was tender and juicy. It was a tad bit saltier than my personal preference. However, they have generous portions and the service was great. Remember this is a counter food place so manage your expectations. We will definitely come back when we come through the area again! Plus you cannot beat the price!!!!

The Rice Wagon Cherokee was a pleasant surprise. While unassuming from the outside, the food was terrific. We had the Bankai Chicken Katsu and the Shoyu Chicken. Both were delicious and I loved the tropical Asian slaw.

Had an absolutely delightful lunch here on 1/21/25. Super interesting menu, and had trouble deciding which item I wanted to try. Couldn’t decide between the Hurricane chicken and the loco moco, guy behind the counter was friendly and helped me decide on the hurricane chicken.
Food came and smelled absolutely amazing. Flavor was even better. The layers and depth of flavor in the chicken was out of this world. The rice was soft and fragrant. The Mac was light and refreshing. The portion size was perfect. Walked out full and happy without being miserable. The plate was a perfect combination. Me and my lunch partner both ate the whole thing. I have exactly zero complaints about the food.
The only complaint that I had was that the place is a little tiny so youre fighting for space. They put the napkins and sauces on the same counter you order at so you have to weave between people ordering to get forks/napkins/sauce etc. Otherwise it was a perfect meal.

Delicious chicken. We stopped on for lunch, and both the regular size and mini plate were perfect for us. The chicken had so much flavor, the rice with sauce & seasoning was good. We even liked the side macaroni salad.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover authentic Hawaiian street food here in Cherokee! I had truly missed the flavors of kalua pork, loco moco, and musubi. The service was excellent—special thanks to Justin—and the food was absolutely delicious. The 2.5-hour drive was completely worthwhile for this culinary experience. I’ll definitely be returning.

I got the combo plate with Kalua pork and katsu chicken with sticky rice and Mac salad. The food is amazing!! Let me tell you this is the real deal for Hawaiian style food. Prices are really good too.

Wonderful and delicious food every time. If haven’t eaten here you need to go now and enjoy the fine cuisine. I suggest the garlic chicken . The portions are huge . You will not leave hungry.
