We stopped by The Rican Lab food truck and the food was absolutely fantastic! Being from New York, I grew up eating Spanish food all the time, and since moving to North Carolina it’s been hard to find authentic Puerto Rican options. This truck truly feels like a taste of home.
Everything was flavorful, fresh, and incredibly filling — plus the portion sizes are great. You can tell they put love into their food. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend anyone looking for real Puerto Rican food definitely check them out!

We ordered catering from The Rican Lab for our holiday dinner and it was an absolute hit! The pernil was flavorful, and the rice & beans and sweet plantains were perfectly cooked. The empanadas were the star of the show—everyone loved them. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Puerto Rican food, this is the spot!

They came to Bronze & Oak Liquor Lounge in Angier the other night that I was bartending.. I have to say….. Top tier!!! The rican combo gives you everything that you need and want! The arroz con gandules was amazing too! Best rican food around !!!

Rican Lab has been one of my favorites since they opened! Lately, though, I’ve noticed the cheese in the pizza empanadas hasn’t been fully melted, which has been a bit disappointing. That said, their sweet plantains are consistently delicious—perfect every single time!

I dislike having to go all the way to WF for some good Cuban food, so I was thrilled to finally get a chance to try a neighbor for some Rican food right here in FV. The chicharron de pollo were surprisingly juicy and the pernil had a wonderful flavor. The tostones and platano maduro were standard delicious. But the alcapurria (with a little Cholula) brought me back hard. I’d like to try the rest of the menu the next time I get to visit. Won’t be disappointed y’all, go get some Rican!
