If you need to serve a lot of people for an event, I highly recommend The Rib Shack. Such a wonderful place and wonderful food. We just served 100+ for our wedding rehearsal dinner and there is not a rib left! The brisket is also excellent as are the coleslaw and beans. Our guests kept raving about the food. Even more, Tom was so wonderful to work with. He returned emails and calls punctually, was so kind and helpful, and was generous with his time in the middle of a busy wedding and event season. I am so impressed and grateful.

The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The owner has that bit down! The atmosphere is incredibly political (a lot of signs about personal beliefs), which isn’t something I personally enjoy when I’m trying to go out to eat, but to each their own.
The food itself was not anything I would call barbecue. The ribs were ribs, the brisket was brisket, and the sliced pork was sliced pork, but I wouldn’t call any of it barbecue. Everything was drier than it should be, nothing comes with sauce on it (ribs should be sauced) , and the seasonings were minimal. The baked beans tasted like they were from a can. On a positive note, the brisket itself was -almost- fantastic (it doesn’t fall apart quite as easily as it should but otherwise was great) and if you go, get the brisket!

Got the half rack platter. Ribs are pretty good, not much fat which is a big plus in my book. Beans and cole slaw are pretty good too. The sauce is on the sweeter side but it’s also really light, I thought it paired really well with the ribs.

Great bang for the buck!! The owner smokes up some tasty ribs, brisket and pork, which all pair perfectly with the BBQ sauce he gives you with each order. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit if other people are ordering, but for one guy running the whole operation, it’s super reasonable and worth the wait. For the price, some of the biggest platters I’ve seen (platter lasts me 2-3 meals) and it’s melt-in-your-mouth good! I prefer the taste and quality over the other smoked rib options in town.

The gentleman man who ran the place was very courteous. Ribs were outstanding. Some of the brisket was dry but when I microwaved it the next day to eat the left overs it was tender and juicy. Overall good food. Highly recommend the ribs.

Fantastic! CDT hiker looking for some good protein and this place knocked it out of the park. Big portions of tender USDA choice cuts and a great sauce to slather on your meats!
