Its a nice little business with 2 picnic tables out front. Seemed to be no dine-in, you only order and sit and wait for it to be ready. We went on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the 2 meat combo with potato salad and pinto beans. I will say that there were at least 4 cars parked ahead of us that were waiting for their orders. We had a wait of at least 30 to 45 minutes. But its totally understandable because it was just a sweet lady working on orders alone. However I can say that the food was way worth the wait. Everything was delicious. I’ve been looking for a good place that has some good BBQ like this in Abilene for awhile and I finally found it.

The brisket and peach cobbler is SO SO GOOD. We were just traveling through the area and decided to stop after reading other good reviews. The lady cooking/owner im assuming was so friendly and working very hard because it was busy. They have picnic tables outside as it is a take out, walk up kind of place. We will definitely be back. They give you so much food and it’s not expensive at all for the amazing quality of food.

Everything is better than all that I’ve had anywhere in Abilene.
Brisket is tender with a great bark, sausage has a great flavor, beans are good, and just needed a bit of salt, and I have only found one place that I like the potato salad now I have two!

Very disappointed, this was an order/pick up walk up window place that takes a very long time to get your order. It’s also very expensive, we ordered 5 brisket sandwiches at $9, half slab of ribs for about $15 and 2 meat plate with two sides which was sliced brisket and sausage. We had to drive far aways to use a restroom while waiting over half an hour it still wasn’t ready. The meat was charred and overcooked and there was so much fat on the brisket. I understand if times get hard but then again do not serve this at this price to people that want a decent meal for their family.

Brisket best smoked flavor and tender, ribs are falling off the bone tender and such smoked flavor and the crust on the meat is excellent!! Ate 2 days in a row…and was consistent!!

This is the 3 meat plate ( brisket, sausage, pork ribs) with sides of potato salad, red beans, and collard greens and corn bread muffins. Dessert is peach cobbler. Amazing meal for my daughter and me with leftovers. Ordered and picked up at the front window and sat at a picnic table in the shade @ 4 with a nice beeeze while I waited. Brisket was my fav followed by ribs then sausage ( all delicious- as expected from checking out other reviews before picking this place). Red beans with cornbread was to die for ( wish I’d asked for onions … but I’m old school) I haven’t had collard greens in a while so wanted to try them and they were amazing, even my 21 y/o liked them! The peach cobbler finally was perfect. If you’re for supporting local owners AND enjoying the best food then you will want to try this place!

Waited an hour to get our food. And the brisket was dry and hard to tear. And it’s not like we showed up before closing, then I would understand the bad food, we showed up 3 hours before closing.

I absolutely LOVE this place. We have picked up brisket by the pound 3 times and every time it has been outstanding. It really stands out from the other places in town as far as quality smoked meats. Enjoy

I have to say this was one of the best tasting ribs I ever had!! The brisket was also really delicious as well and the peach cobbler. Customer service was top-notch. I highly recommend this place!!

This is my first time going to The Rib Crib and I ordered 2 orders of the the 2 meat plate with ribs and sausage today with sides, it was the Best tasting ribs I’ve ever had, so flavorful. I will definitely be going back
