Sometimes you move to a new place and you wonder if you made the right decision. Then, on an impromptu trip to Florida you find a woman in an airport bar raving about an establishment that is right down the road from your new home. You decide to visit this place and quickly learn that you did make the right decision. They are kind, welcoming, and handsome to boot! There at the bar top, basking purple light, is where you become a local. The music, nostalgia from Tom Petty to LCD sound system, brings you back to when you only dreamed of having a place this cool to hang out. Soon you meet people there, they introduce you to other people, and before you know it, you have found a new community. This is that place. The Rhinestone Room has always been my favorite bar to go to, for many many years. Over the years I have developed a friendship between the three owners. They always have something fun up their sleeves. Their cocktails and humor have ALWAYS been consistent. They are very easy going, respectful people. And I consider them to be the most inclusive bar in the area! Western Maine has needed a quirky and inclusive bar like this for MANY years. Every time I walk into this bar, I am genuinely greeted by the owners, always making it a personable experience when visiting. THEY ARE ALWAYS HAVING COOL EVENTS, SO ALWAYS KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED AND YOUR EARS OPEN FOR A FUNKY, FUN TIME!
