We pride ourselves in serving fresh and local ingredients you can taste. Husband and wife duo and their daughter started the Retreat at Ridgeway knowing their family would grow into the team they work with and the customers they have come to know and love.

Small and intimate venue with very nice and welcoming staff! We had the pleasure of having Lacie as our waitress, and she made us feel very special celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary. I very much enjoyed the fried chicken, my husband enjoyed his salmon as well. We were both head over heels impressed with their Chocolate Bread Pudding that they had on the menu that night and wish we would have taken another serving or two home with us!! If we are ever in the area again, we will be sure to stop in!!

The reason I’m giving the food the three stars is because I had the waffles and chicken which I love. The chicken looked delicious but it just tasted okay. It just tastes like they had dipped it in the flour and Friday. There was no seasoning on it for my liking. Great atmosphere. Just a little noisy and it took very long to get the food the way they bring the food out. I don’t believe it’s a good system. If you have a table full of people and five of them, get chicken and waffles? Why aren’t you bringing all of that out first? Or if it’s grits and eggs all of that first instead of bringing one plate of food out at a time. Anyway, I didn’t like the service that much. Waitresses were great. They were polite. They were good. I guess they can only bring out what is played it for them. It’s a beautiful place sitting on a lake.

My wife and I drove up from Columbia for dinner and ended up having a wonderful experience. Food was top notch and the view was very nice. Her fish was cooked to perfection and my scallops were amazing. Definitely worth giving a shot and taking the drive.

I routinely travel throughout the country and dine in many fine restaurants including those that are Michelin Star/Rated and those that have James Beard award winning chefs. I must honestly say that I enjoy dining near my home at the Retreat: Lake Wateree Dining as much as any of those fine restaurants. The preparation and quality of the meals are always exceptional, and the environment and staff make this one of my favorite dining experiences in the country. My wife and I are truly fortunate to have this gem near our home.

Excellent!!! The view of the lake is magnificent and calming. Hidden gem!! Everything was amazing! My husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the blackened swordfish, both were incredible!!! We will definitely be back again.

This place was an incredible find. The attention to detail is on point. My steak was perfectly prepared, seasoned and presented. The restaurant was inviting and comfortable and the service was excellent. The chef even stopped by my table after my meal arrived to let me know that the mashed potatoes were really hot and to be careful. My waitress was so sweet and attentive and had perfect timing.

Live nearby and this is our favorite place to dine out. Have never been disappointed with meal selection. Lovely waterfront view, excellent chef with changing menu. Superb and friendly service. Only thing I’d recommend changing is dim overhead lights a bit in the evening so lighting isn’t so blinding.
