We visited last evening for our anniversary. We were not impressed with the food or service. The steak my wife had was not tasty at all. I think it was grass fed if I were to guess. My salmon was pretty tasty but not the best I have had by no means. The salad was bitter in parts. No seasoning and no salt and pepper on the table but that is a must! The waitress was pleasant, and she did the best she could, but they were very busy. The manager was busy mostly with the large tables to assist. We do not think we will be returning to this dining experience.

My Wife & I went there for Thanksgiving Dinner last night. We are from the area, but have never eaten there. We arrived at 4:25 for the 4:30 seating, but they were not ready. Still setting things up from the 2PM seating. The first guests got seated at 5:15 and we weren’t seated until 5:25. When we arrived, the buffet was set up in the foyer, where we were all waiting. The food was uncovered and heated by sturnos. Fresh food came out while we were waiting, but remained uncovered. When we were seated and then served ourselves, the first thing we noticed was the Turkey slices had no skin and there was no dark Turkey meat at all. We’re pretty sure the meat was not cut off of a recently cooked bird. It appeared to be processed meat. The ham slices were thin and clearly processed packaged meat, not sliced off any ham bone. Everything was warm at best. Nothing was hot and steamy. The best part of the meal was the pumpkin pie and I’m certain that was store bought. Our check included a 15% beer & wine tax, though we didn’t drink anything but water. The building, while being historic, was in much need of repair. Overall, the experience and cuisine was not what we’d hoped for, especially for amount we spent. We won’t be coming back.

Great Sunday breakfast for my family at Crooked Run Tavern. The staff was welcoming for out kids and treated us like friends and family. Food was great and had something for each of us and after breakfast showed us interesting places to explore on the property.

Great historic location and ambiance. The food was also a great fit with hearty classics like steak frites and pork chops.
