Perfect spot to grab lunch so you don’t lose any time exploring the incredible museum. You are able to put your name on, go browse:use the restroom and then receive a text once your table is ready. This to me was 10000% better option than any of the quick service cafes you can find throughout the museum. I did not have crazy expectations due to the reviews however I was impressed with the quality of the meal! I shared the chopped chicken salad as well as a burger. Both were super tasty with generous portion sizes and the service was fast and friendly

This place broke my heart. I had made reservations, the service was impeccable, Michelin-like.
But the food… I’ve never eaten such a sad excuse for a cheeseburger.
The bun was as dry as the petrified bread in Pompeii, then I got a chocolate cake and surprise, surprise: dry, crumbly, went down like wet cement, tasted like nothing special.

Price would have been acceptable if the food had been palatable.

Pleasantly surprised.
We ordered the special butterfly drink which was not too sweet satisfying and gave a nice experience with a butterfly and flower. We then ordered a hamburger with fries which was very good The chocolate cookie with ice cream which was excellent the the seasonal gingerbread cookies that came three cookies with different colored frosting on it the cookies themselves were high quality and very satisfying we also got a cheesecake which was very good and nicely presented all in all very nice experience with very good quality food.

After taking the hour plus guided tour, I was ready to sit and have a nice lunch. The burger was most popular item on menu. It was good overall but fries were okay. Pricey meal for lunch but it was a treat on Easter Sunday.

I went at lunch time on a Sunday, and it was about a 20m wait for seating for just 1 person

The staff at the front were very friendly/pleasant to interact with

I ordered a few things since I wanted to try a variety of what they had to offer

Peppermint tea – I’d asked if the peppermint was fresh leaves, and was told yes, but it was actually just tea bags. I didn’t really care to complain, but I think she realized at one point and asked me if it was what I expected. I said not really and she apologized. At the end she comped it without me saying anything

Lentil soup – it wasn’t really anything special in my opinion. There wasn’t all that much flavor or seasoning to it, and it was very thin, compared to something like middle eastern lentil. The carrots, onions, and red peppers were something I’d not had in lentil soup before

Roasted broccoli w hazelnuts and almonds – I wish all vegetables tasted this good. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and the little bit of sauce they put on it had a tiny amount of heat that was perfect. Would definitely get this again

Short rib – The meat itself was very tender and cooked well. Unfortunately the sauce used was extremely salty and the rib/carrots were covered in it. The carrots weren’t cooked as much as I would expect, partially because the sizes varied so much. The larger ones were closer to raw, the smaller ones were cooked just right. The mashed potatoes were pretty good

I wasn’t able to finish all of the broccoli/all of the mashed potatoes, so there’s a decent amount of food here

The desserts were fairly cookie cutter. NY cheese cake, chocolate lava cake, and passion fruit yogurt. Nothing that I felt was worth the price

All in all, with the tea taken off of the bill, after 20% tip it was $75. This felt quite steep, and there are many other restaurants I would much rather go to in NYC for that price. I’m glad to have had the experience but will personally not go again unless they make significant changes to the menu/pricing

This is one classy restaurant inside the museum building. I was hungry in between my walk in the museum, and decided to take a bite. But, this place was beyond my expectations. The ambiance, the service and the quality of food were just exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place.

Salmon plate is impeccable. Butterfly lemonade drink and mocktails are delightful. Soup of the day always good. Just don’t let yourself down and settle for a burger, which is fine, but just a burger.

The ambience and decoration was phenomenal as it was very aesthetically beautiful with a lot floral and yellow designs. The service was great and our servers were very attentive to our needs. The standout though was the butterfly drink, just a hint of very subtle sweetness, a pinch of tartness not sour or watered down overall extremely refreshing, also very decorative as the 2nd part of the drink was in a vial you had to pour in yourself. Definitely a great place to unwind from a long day at the museum and will definitely be returning.

This is a great place to have a meal when spending a day at the museum. We are new Yorkers and members of the museum and have never ate here until today. Food was delicious, service was wonderful and it was nice to have a glass of wine in the middle of our museum day trip. We will def be coming back! The prices are typical with any NYC restaurant.
