My family ate here for the first time since the restaurant reopened and it was a very pleasant experience. Make sure you check the website or call for hours and days because they are at unusual times and sporadic throughout the week. The food was really good. Served on a buffet with more than sufficient options. The cooking style was like mom used to make, which is a huge compliment. We ate on a Wednesday for lunch, which had baked chicken and hamburger steak with gravy. Both were delicious. Okra was fantastic. Desserts were also great. Service was very friendly and hard working. The decor matches the state park. It has a very warm feel. Great option if you are in the area!

This place used to have a great salad bar and buffet open on Fri-Sun. Last time we went on a Friday the entire place was closed down. Today also a Friday the salad bar and buffet was closed. Staff told us it’s only open on Sundays now, so we left without eating. What a shame! One day a week? I doubt we will try a third time. Time to find a new place to eat. I don’t get hungry only on Sundays…..

I have to stop here every time I visit Cumberland Mountain State Park. The ladies that run this place are so sweet and the food is always great. Classic southern style cuisine is usually on the menu and every dish tastes like someone’s family recipe. The buffet is clean, well-maintained and never empty. They also have made to order meals as well if you don’t do buffets. Sitting with a hot plate of comfort food and staring out over the water after a long day of hiking makes for a happy camper. They also have a large stone patio if you have pets with you and cannot dine in.

We used to love coming here! Service was great, and the views are amazing. But this time, the hot food just seemed lacking something…. The salad bar was terrific. The smoked ribs seemed burnt, though the meat under the surface was tasty. I remember a larger selection before, and I thought they used to have a wonderful dessert bar and soft serve ice cream. Only small cups of vanilla ice cream were available, and those aren’t our favorite. We loved the banana pudding and bread pudding desserts. When we are in town, we will come back to see how it evolves again.

We stopped here on a day trip. The park was great so we decided to eat at the restaurant. It is buffet and the food and desserts were so good. Well worth the price. Views were amazing and our waitress had all the tables and did an excellent job. Baked chicken, pork chops and cherry cobbler was all delicious. Salad bar was great too.

My husband and I went here for supper one evening while staying in town over night. It was a very relaxing area with beautiful views.
Our buffet was very enjoyable. We had the buffet with BBQ chicken , chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, assorted veg, salad, cobbler, and banana pudding. We could look out the window at our table at the water below. We walked around the outside patio and took a few beautiful pictures.

Barbecue smoked meats, Sat night dinner- delicious ribs/ pulled pork/ chicken. Good buffet sides, salad bar, chili, breads, delicious desserts & vanilla ice cream. Beer, wine, outdoor patio option. Excellent staff & hospitality!
