Had an absolutely tremendous lunch at the restaurant. This is a gorgeous Michelin star hotel with a fantastic 1 Michelin star, and with a view surpassed by very few.
It was a beautiful day and perfect for leisurely outdoor dining, with stellar service provided by David and the unforgettable ambiance of the surroundings.
We chose the 3 course option and each was divine. The WILD SHRIMP SALAD, SAUTÉED NORTHERN HALIBUT, CABERNET BRAISED SHORT RIB, and unbelievable chocolate desserts were to die for.
It was like a week of vacation in two hours and we hated to leave. A true haven.

Auberge du Soleil is a stunning restaurant, and our table on the terrace was beautiful, though daylight savings made it too dark to enjoy the full view. The staff was knowledgeable and kind, and my husband chose the chef’s tasting menu while I selected the four-course option. Throughout the night we received multiple unexpected amuse-bouches and palate cleansers, which made the overall amount of food overwhelming — the portions were far larger than we expected for a tasting experience.

I also have a shellfish allergy (noted in the reservation and confirmed at the table), yet one of the surprise dishes was squid. I had to send it back. Additionally, I never received the cheese course I ordered, though it didn’t appear on the check. My appetizer and entrée weren’t to my taste, though the chocolate dessert was exceptional. My husband enjoyed his selections more than I did, but still felt they didn’t completely wow him.

The restaurant is gorgeous and the service was good, but overall I was underwhelmed. Some factors were personal preference, but the allergy oversight, unexpected extra dishes, and missing course were disappointing.

Excellent. Wonderful experience here. We both had the four course option with the wine pairings. Food was great and hearty portions for a tasting menu. For us, it was so much that we couldn’t accept dessert (which is a rarity for me.) Wine pairings were on point, food was well crafted, and service was outstanding. Recommended.

My husband and I dinned for dinner and I selected the four course option without wine pairings. The staff, particularly Jackson Whitman, was very accommodating with menu substitutions and flexibility. For my first course, I was craving a salad and although not on the menu, he kindly offered a house salad and it was very fresh. My second course selection was the roasted cauliflower, a main course option yet substituted. For my third course I enjoyed the potato gnocchi and every bite literally melted in my mouth. This was my third time tasting this dish and it is always consistent, delicious, and memorable. Lastly, dessert was apple cider donuts (WOW). Between the courses, we were offered complementary bites of lobster and tuna tartar plus a palate cleanser. I did try a holiday cocktail called the Golden Mule and it was average.
The food was Michelin star caliber, atmosphere charming and comfortable, and great service from most of the team. Jackson’s professionalism, relaxed demeanor, and detailed knowledge/presentation of the food courses confirms why I always look forward to returning.

Very disappointing experience. I booked this restaurant over a month in advance and traveled 3,000 miles to dine here, only to be seated next to the service door — noisy, uncomfortable, and definitely not what you expect from a fine dining restaurant promising great valley views. Lunch menu is limited, food quality not really worth a Michelin star. Perhaps dinner menu is better?

When I asked to move, I was told they’d arrange a table change, so we waited. Unfortunately, that promise was never kept, even though several tables sat open the entire time.

At this price point, guests deserve better service and basic consideration. Fine dining isn’t just about food — it’s about how you’re treated and excellent customer service. I expected a memorable lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday; instead, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences of my life. Restroom cleanliness not at pair either, no paper or cloth towels to dry your hands. Take your business somewhere else! Napa valley has a lot to offer

A memorable Michelin-star experience overall.

We had the four-course dinner, and most of the dishes were outstanding—rich in flavor, beautifully plated, and thoughtfully crafted. The appetizers and desserts were especially exceptional, showcasing depth and creativity.

The only slight letdown was the main course: I had requested the lamb to be well-done, but it arrived undercooked, and the halibut was a bit underwhelming in flavor. That said, the service, ambiance, and overall culinary experience were truly top-tier. Would definitely return for the rest of the menu.

We’ve been to this restaurant on multiple occasions and have generally had a great experience. The food, as always, was quite good. However, our most recent visit was disappointing. We noticed that the service has declined and is no longer at the level one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The servers were distracted and inattentive to our table.

The Restaurant at Auberge du Soleil was truly a standout dining experience on our trip. I highly recommend visiting for lunch—not only for the stunning, picturesque views but also for the more affordable prix fixe menu.

We made our lunch reservation a month in advance. While we had the option to be seated indoors immediately upon arrival, we chose to wait an extra 20 minutes for an outdoor table. The breathtaking views made the wait absolutely worthwhile.

Our group of four ordered different dishes to share and sample, which added to the experience. The service was exceptional, and most of the dishes were delightful. My personal favorites were the Pumpkin Bisque (with lobster) and the Cabernet Braised Short Rib—both were outstanding!

This is without a doubt the best brunch we’ve ever enjoyed! It was also the best meal we had when visiting Napa (and Sonoma) on this trip!

We came in for brunch on a Saturday and were fortunate to be seated right along the railing overlooking the valley below. Our server was incredible… his knowledge of not only the menu, but also every ingredient and the actual preparation of everything was incredible! Everything we asked about the menu, he gave us a great description!

Everything we ordered came out amazing!!! Fresh ingredients, amazing and unique preparation, and unbelievable flavor! Can’t recommend enough for folks to stop in and try their brunch… or any meal for that matter as I’m sure they’re all great here!

Amazing view and service during brunch. We got our starter drinks with a basket of pastries (bread, muffin and scone). We ordered three items each from the prix fixe menu, all delicious!

From the beginnings, we got the gnocchi and octopus. Great flavors and texture. The pork chop was so tender and juicy, fantastic! The sea bass was good as well. We got one chocolate dessert and a persimmon cake dessert. I really liked the 70% Vietnamese chocolate.

The pacing of the food was good and service was attentive with water and clearing our crumbs from the table. There was complimentary valet parking when we arrived.

Definitely a memorable birthday brunch!
