This was had a menu that had comfort food, burgers, and some Mexican entrées. It had a big menu and lots to choose from. We did not like our location of the table very much. It was right by the bathrooms, and when people walk in and out, we can smell it. Our server was very nice and friendly. And got everything we needed. It was busy, so she didn’t stop by very often. I asked for a pitcher of water for the table, and she was able to get that for us even though it was not part of the routine.

From my experience and opinion The Republic of Texas Restaurant was mediocre at best. My family decided to pick a restaurant on a whim and choose this one. Unfortunately we believe we picked the wrong one. From the moment we walked in we did not experience the Texas hospitality, employees were arguing over sections and tables and we were just given menus and that’s it. It appeared to be that the restaurant couldn’t make up its mind between a BBQ, Burger or Mexican restaurant. I wish they would’ve picked one and hone in on it because to us every plate we had wasn’t flavorful, the burgers appeared to be be premade frozen pattys. The bbq to us had a strange aftertaste and it appears that the chicken strip are two completely different styles. I would not recommend this place based off my experience but if you do try it hopefully your experience is batter that ours.

Food was hot and delicious and the view of the Riverwalk was super from the private room in the back. Loved it, can’t wait to visit again. Was a little shocked that the drink was $20, but that was my fault for not asking ahead of time. Great service!

What a tremendous establishment. The food and ombiance was great. The setting of this restaurant is literally on the riverwalk. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a full bar, clean bathrooms and top notch service led by Mr. Victor. William, the owner was also very personable and friendly. I will definitely be back!

I ordered the nachos and added the seasoned ground beef for an extra charge and was pretty disappointed when the beef didn’t really have any seasoning. The restaurant has a cool vibe but the food seemed a little lacking.

I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak had a nice crispy crust to it and the gravy was flavorful. The chicken fried steak was massive. The mash potatoes were smooth and buttery. I had the river water cocktail which I enjoyed as well. Prices were reasonable for the riverwalk as well.

The Food and Atmosphere were great . Our server was going out of his way to take care of us. He also kept the drinks topped off, something that usually makes or breaks it for me. We never had to ask for anything. It’s like he could read our minds.

we had a riverwalk table, the ambience is great but the service and food are the worst. They served us the appetizers but took 40minutes to serve the entree. Steak ordered was medium but was served well done. The burger was served with a stiff bread. Fajitas too dry. Had to follow up the food after 40minutes of waiting then took another 5minutes. This place should be avoided despite the enticing view.
