Very loud and crowded on Friday night. I was expecting the fish and tartar sauce to be outrageously good because of all of the people waiting to be served. However it was bland. It did come out hot though, so a decent preparation. Decently inexpensive. This will not make my heavy rotation list for Friday night dinner.

Seems like a hidden gem. Went on a Friday and had the cod fish fry and wife had the chicken avocado pecan cranberry salad. The fish fry was decent although the two pieces of cod loins were nothing special, over salted and undercooked. The baked potato was huge and delicious and coleslaw was good. My wife loved her salad. Great variety of beer and menu. It looks like they make a great popular old fashioned. We will definitely return.

Great Fish Fry Find! We have been looking for a place with hand breaded shrimp- and I stumbled upon a picture on Google of their shrimp basket! So we had to try it. It was amazing. We will be back to try more on their menu for sure!

Had very good patty melt and upgraded side to haystack onions. Will go back for sure. The deep fried cheese curds were really outstanding, crispy thin coating and very nice cheese pull inside. Service was super friendly and our waitress was very efficient dealing with multiple tables and cleanup.

New to the area and have been driving by this place for w few weeks, always see a bunch of cars so we made a plan to visit and we’re not disappointed.
Nice clean place, lots of space and we can only imagine how fun this place must be normally. The outdoor deck looks like great place to unwind or get wound up after work depending upon the day you’ve had.
Our Food was great and the staff was super friendly. I had the fried chicken dinner and my wife had the Ruben. Both were great and you can’t go wrong with the fries or homemade chips both were great.
We will definitely be back to try some of the other great option on the menu and the beer list too !

Had dinner with friends. Food and service were both excellent. Had three different fish fries and everyone said they would definitely have them again. Walleye was particularly good. Will definitely be back.

We visited The Red Rooster restaurant on Saturday Oct 11 2025 around 4pm, it was our second visit there, the first one on a Friday about four months ago. We were greeted by a middle aged tall skinny red head waitress, I didn’t catch her name. There were 5 tables seated with the largest being a five top by the side door. The waitress greeted us with menus then came back ten minutes later to take our drink orders: Me: Cheeseburger M/R with sweet potato fries and a side salad with french dressing (I asked for it ahead of my meal) wife: buffalo chicken salad, no buffalo sauce (she’s allergic), grilled chicken and ranch dressing on the side. Well, our drinks came and 40 minutes later food came, food not what we ordered. My burger was burnt and with waffle fries, wife’s salad had chicken tenders and buffalo sauce poured over the entire salad, no dressing was brought out. We waited about ten more minutes for the waitress to show her face and pointed everything out to her. She acknowledged the mistake and took the salad back. I refused to start eating without my wife having her food so I pushed my plated to the center of the table and let her pick on the waffle fries. Twenty minutes later the salad appeared but no dressing. All of sudden appeared with my dinner salad and that had no dressing, perhaps she thought I wanted it as my dessert?! I kindly asked her for dressing for our salads and she gave me a strange look. In the mean time our soda cups were completely empty even though she visited or walked by the table several times.
I witnessed a lady from the five top get up twice and walk to the bar and order her own drinks for her table…. Umm what?
There were literally 5 tables in the restaurant, I saw at least four staff members between the bar and service floor and one of the owners play bar dice with some guy at the bar.
The waitress came by after twenty minutes and asked if everything was ok, I kindly replied, “you must be kidding me?”. I asked for the bill, ten minutes later she brought, it was $56, I gave her a $100 bill and she returned and scooped it up and said she will bring me my change. Twenty minutes later she returned with my change.

Food is fantastic. Fish fry is great, service is quick and friendly. Strongly recommend all potato varieties. If you want a classic wisconsin fish fry experience, you cant go wrong here.
One note- as of September 2025,
Don’t bother ordering a mixed drink if it isnt an old fashioned or a bloody mary. Bartender waters down or something every drink. Even bourbon w 2 ice cubes was heinous bad.
