Food was great. However, the regular medium roast coffe with oatmilk was pretty acidic. Avoiding sugars where we can so kept it simple. Circling back to the food. We never had such a fluffy and tasty breakfast bagels.

The Red Roaster Coffee & Eatery was one of the first places we ever tired in Madison so we typically make a stop when we’re in town.

The rainy morning called for a hot Cafe Miel, an iced Caramel Macchiato, and a Blueberry Scone. I picked it up and brought it back to my sleeping beauty.

They make a high quality cup of joe and the sugar crystals on the scone were enough to raise my wife from the dead.

I definitely recommend a stop when you’re here.

GREAT coffee and other drinks. Yummy pastries and other snacks although We were hoping for legitimate dessert options. Love that they are open until 8 pm. Minimalist vibe, but sparse and cold.

The bacon, cheddar, egg bagel was so good! The coffee cake was phenomenal and made us wish we bought more then one!
We stopped in for breakfast, while in town for the weekend, and it was a perfect spot for some wonderful coffee and small breakfast! I highly recommend!

This was our first time Red Rooster, and it was delicious. The building looks historic, and the interior is very inviting and spacious. There was also outside seating with people enjoying their coffee. I had the mocha latte and the coffee cake, which was incredible. If we’re ever in the Madison area, we’ll cone back to Rooster’s.

We are traveling through the area and we always try to support local since we own a coffee shop ourselves and we found this place!
The coffee is absolutely amazing. Very well crafted. The baristas seem to really enjoy their job. The customer service was great and the place was clean with lots of seating. Good was out fast as well as the coffee. If you’re in the area it’s a must! They also have tons of events and seem involved in the community.

Excellent customer service, delicious coffee and sweet muffin. YUMMMMMMMY! I ordered an iced lavender matcha green tea and an orange cranberry muffin. Delicious! It is a very clean establishment. Great employees. The next time I’m in town, I will be returning!

I recently visited the Red Rooster Coffee & Eatery in Madison, Indiana, and had a mostly great experience.

I tried to order a cappuccino, but was asked what size – which always raises a red flag for me. I prefer a traditional cappuccino with a fixed ratio of espresso, steamed milk, and foam, rather than a variable size.

So, I changed my order to an iced vanilla latte instead. It was delicious and well-made, with a good balance of flavors. However, I noticed they only put one shot of espresso in the small 12oz size, which might make it taste under-extracted.

Tip: Order the 16oz size if you want a well-balanced drink with a stronger espresso flavor.

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with rustic decor and comfortable seating. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, although I wish they had a better understanding of traditional coffee drinks.

Pros:

• Delicious iced vanilla latte
• Cozy and inviting atmosphere
• Friendly and knowledgeable staff
• High-quality espresso machines

Cons:

• Only one shot of espresso in small 12oz size

Tips:

• If you’re a coffee purist like me, you might want to stick with a simple latte or drip coffee
• Order the 16oz size for a well-balanced drink with a stronger espresso flavor
• Try the iced vanilla latte – it’s a winner!
• Support local businesses like the Red Rooster that prioritize quality and community

I always make a point to come here when I’m in town. Every town needs ‘that’ coffee spot, and Red Roaster is just that! Also love how they have revitalized the old building. Cheers!

I’ve been coming here for years and all the baristas here are so nice! They happily remade my drink after I ordered a drink and forgot to specify decaf, even during a busy day! The coffee was delicious (brown sugar latte with oat milk) AND affordable. It was much less than I’m used to paying at other places. I would recommend to anyone visiting Madison and local alike.
