I walked 30 minutes to get here because I saw that they had vegan burritos and Sweet Hazel is closed on Wednesdays. I waited in line to order and was super excited, but they gave me a burrito with egg in it (I don’t eat egg and have a mild egg allergy), so I had to get a refund and go elsewhere. I will NOT be back! But honestly, given their health code violations I shouldn’t have came to begin with.

I stopped by The Red Moose Cafe for the first time after driving past it daily and seeing the parking lot usually full. I ordered the Uinta Breakfast and it just didn’t live up to the expectation. The bacon and potatoes were soggy, and the sausage was dry, easily the worst I’ve had in Utah. The cappuccino was actually good, but it came out way before the food because the bar and kitchen seemed out of sync. The place wasn’t even full, yet the wait for the meal was long. With so many better and faster options nearby, this visit was a disappointment. Maybe it’s just a spot that gets more attention for the hype than for the food.

My friend and i were RAVENOUS and this just hit every spot! Employees this morning were very complimentary and kind, and even though it was busy they were quick to finish our orders. We DEVOURED the bagel and I am a bagel connoisseur. It was toasted to utter perfection. Beautiful and cozy little cafe! Will be coming many more a morning!

The food was fresh and tasty.
I ordered a burrito with bacon. They gave me the wrong thing. Yes I checked and my receipt actually said the correct thing. I did not return it because it tasted fine. Not sure what it was though.
The atmosphere was cool.
They have scones.

I walked in during lunch for a work meeting. They have ample space for you to meet and set up laptops even for five or six people. It’s counter service so you have to get up in order which is no problem because the staff was super friendly. The food was also done quickly, and everything taste fresh. I went for the yogurt and Berry compote which was one of my favorites I’ve had anywhere. We also ordered some breakfast burritos and other breakfast plates. One of the things that stood out to me the most was the ambience as there was people of all ages, the place was mellow and rustic. I really enjoyed it. Cannot wait to go back.

This may fall into the category of TMI, but I have a stomach that is very sensitive and can unfortunately tell if the food at a place isn’t clean. Went to Red Moose today because I hadn’t been in a couple of years. Had coffee and their bean and rice burrito. After eating, didn’t even make it out of the parking lot before I had to go back in and use their restroom. Finally made it home and have been in and out of the bathroom and my stomach is still rumbling. Won’t be going back.

This spot is so good. A friend wanted to meet here, and it was my first time. There’s not much parking available, but inside is bigger than it looks, plus they have outside seating available. Inside the decor has a cabin feel, which is very nice. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo and pepper jack cheese, it was not too spicy, but damn good! I also ordered a chai tea which was unbelievable. I’m not in this area much, but I’ll definitely come back again when I’m in the area. If you enjoyed this review, please give it a thumbs up

Whoever was on aux this morning/ afternoon was killing. My favorite part about the experience was the fact we were BLASTING hard rock/punk music over the speaker (mean that genuinely, not sarcasm lol). The coffee was good (I got the honey nut latte) and the blonde barista with the double braids and septum ring was very nice. The food— not so much. Over medium eggs were very much over easy, sausage was massively overcooked, and the potatoes were cold and chewy. Would probably come back for coffee but definitely not for food.

The 4 stars is only that the coffee is not great and it is a cafe. But the food is perfect! We have been here a few times! Breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches are excellent. Multiple sizes of burritos from CL to a kids menu with smaller portions. The bakery is really good! Tried a blueberry muffin which was really good. The coffee is drinkable but more like diner style. Espresso also not great. Come for the food though!!

Easily one of the best local coffee shops in Sugar House. Added bonus, the food is REALLY good. My favorite lunchy thing is the Wasatch Salad, and the breakfast burritos are a great pick too. There is a drive-through window, but I usually order inside and then chill at one of their outside tables because it’s a nice break.
