It was my friends 23 birthday and the boy with the earpiece kicked us out for being in the bathroom when CLEARLY he was NOT in there… (as he is a man and we were in the WOMENS bathroom) service was terrible and apparently the “owner” had a problem with us being in the bathroom. Not an accepting place for women to celebrate a birthday apparently. We were respectful and thought we were having a good time, until the staff was incredibly unprofessional with our group of 15. Would not reccomend!

WOW. I went in to have a beer with my brother and was truly surprised. Just minutes from Brockport College, it has plenty of parking and an outdoor seating area WITH heat. This place is VERY clean. Literally nothing out of place. I got there just as they opened , roughly 1pm) and they got busy fast. The service was quick the entire time and the staff seems to know 99% of their customers. It feels like you’re family. The staff made a great recommendation ( Hamburg blueberry and peach hard cider) which I enjoyed. Their knowledge and friendliness made a mark. I will be back.

Usually packed with young people and takes time to get a drink the male bartenders are rude and aggressive the security when not doing the job just stand outside doing nothing the pool table is wedged between a pole and a metal grate making half the game unplayable drinks are normal priced but nothing special it’s a wanna be hipster dive bar

I came to Red Jug with my family relatives on Christmas 2023, and for some reason the bouncer wouldn’t let me in because my ID was “vertical”. The bouncer told me that they only accept “horizontal” IDs. I don’t know if that’s their policy but if it is, they need to change it. And on top of that, we hangout outside where the outdoor seating area is and another employee comes out while the bouncer was just inside watching it all saying whoever had the out of state ID (also my ID) can’t be on the property. I’ve never experienced that before at any bar or restaurant.

Terrible bar all around. Worse than college atmosphere. Cover charges in the early afternoon. Horrid pricing. They search for any reason to kick you out in the last half hour of business so they can add custom tip.

Stopped in at opening time on a Thursday. Seating is carefully spaced and they were enforcing mask requirements. There are a lot of taps and a good selection of beers. The bartenders were friendly, efficient and knew the beers. All customers had to buy a hotdog but it was decent and only $1.

I’ll start by saying it’s not really my scene, so take that into consideration. It definitely seems like a college bar, not a big whisky selection but tone if beers and I think every flavor of vodka there is. The bartender seemed a little inexperienced but she did an awesome job, especially considering how busy it was. The men’s room was a little rough which almost dropped it to 3 stars, but they played wu tang which protected their neck.

First of all the bartenders and staff there is absolutely incredible! We’ve been there for the past 2 months or so every Tuesday for trivia and have never had an issue. However, today we went and our friend; who is over 25, the oldest of our group, and who’s been multiple times with us, was denied entry because her ID “felt” fake. I totally get how security can be a bit strict especially being close to a college but her ID scanned multiple times and is exactly the same as ours. The “security guard” was incredibly rude and we had to get the manager to prove that it was a legit form of NYS ID. It totally threw us off considering we’ve been there for weeks straight. Security needs to learn how NYD ID’s can look a bit different if they’re older than they are (I.e. maybe 24). Overall would definitely recommend this place but make sure to bring multiple forms of identification if you look young.
