Here for a Saturday morning breakfast. Easy parking. Avoid parking under the tree as I saw huge pine cones fall, missing a windshield. At 8a, it was not too crowded. Service was attentive and quick. Over medium eggs were perfect and the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy was delicious and filling. Great first time visit. Will be back again the next time I’m in town.

From my personal experience, this is the best place to have breakfast in Lake Tahoe. We tried the French toast and scrambled eggs and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, Highly recommended!

A bit pricey but the food is good. Service is a little slow, when you get the food no one checks in until bringing you the check and you can pay at the door. But for basic breakfast staples there are good options.

I visited all three Red Hut locations around Lake Tahoe during this trip, and I have to say the quality of service varied significantly. The worst experience by far was at the one located at 229 Kingsbury Grade Rd. The woman who took our order had an annoyingly unpleasant tone and didn’t even bother to make eye contact throughout the interaction. She was extremely rude. After placing my order, I still politely said “thank you,” but she didn’t look at me or acknowledge it at all, she just walked away maybe racist ?
That said, I still gave four stars for service overall, because the rest of the staff were genuinely great. I didn’t want one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch
Everything on the menu here is absolutely delicious and top-notch! Just hope you don’t end up being served by the rude waitress.

We had the country fried steak with eggs and sourdough toast. Coffee was good and food was flavorful. We had a long wait time.

We ate here, our second Red Hut locations of our trip, on our way home on our last morning. Just like the first location we visited, everyone was super friendly, with attentive servers and lightning quick food coming out. This place was much smaller than the other location, but was homey and just had a great vibe. While the view of the lake at the other spot was lovely, I feel I enjoyed this spot better.
Food was great btw. I had a fried egg sandwich with sausage and it was very good.

This popular breakfast spot always has a wait, even for a single diner (10-15 minutes). Service can be slow, with orders taking at least 15 minutes to arrive. Prices have increased since my last visit, but little else has changed.
For parties of four or more, expect some wait time. Outdoor seating is an alternative to avoid the wait.
While the food quality and taste remain excellent, the service was notably slow during this visit.
Despite the service issues, I still recommend this place and plan to visit again.

This is the definition of a Diner, has the mom and pop feel to it. The food isn’t the best quality but you can see that the cook makes the best of it. It taste great. Very cozy inside.
The food was excellent, especially the bonzi burger. It was spicy but not overwhelming. The patty tasted like it was those you buy in bulk from Costco but it worked. The whole family ate and we had no complaints. Server was great and attentive.
I would recommend this place to friends and family on a budget.
Big plus is that they are across the street from a park where we take the kiddos to blow off some steam. That’s what we did before we showed up so they can actually sit still and eat some food.

Been in Tahoe a few days. We have eaten $100 breakfast and $250 dinners and we all agree, this was the best place we have eaten.
