Good spot to stop after visiting Pioneertown. We didn’t really go inside so I can’t rate the bar service. But, the tacos and nachos were great. The atmosphere outside was good. The day we went, a music artist came down from LA and was on the patio singing. I can imagine it being a good spot for residents of JT. We ate under some awning which kept the sun away some.

The place was excellent. Upon entry there were people dancing right in the center! I would have joined but my friends and I were food focused and hungry. On Sundays they have a live DJ and they were playing great hits. Ordering is simple enough – grab a menu and order at the bar, then they give you a buzzer to pick it up. Service was very fast and excellent. You seat yourself anywhere. I would have taken a photo of my food but it was gone quickly. They have vegan/vegetarian options such as the mushroom asada taco and the other mushroom (raja?) taco – both are excellent!

What a great little find! My husband and I live in Palm Springs and took his family to Pioneertown on the Monday following Mother’s Day on our way to Jashua Tree. We weren’t expecting much to be open, but we were pleasantly surprised that there were quite a number of cute shops and the Red Dog Saloon open and well staffed. We ate lunch at The Saloon, enjoying the music. They had a small selection of tasty, well-priced Mexican food available and various cocktail and beer offerings. My husband and I thought it would definitely be fun to bring friends back here on a future evening for a themed cowboy night. Asking the management, they said weekends may close around 11pm-ish and weekdays last call is probably around 9:45pm-ish. They have overflow from Pappy and Harriet’s and a good crowd sometimes, especially when they have live bands. The manager said the best place to find out about their upcoming events is their social media. We will do so and be back!!

A fun pace when in Pioneertown – it’s loud and if you arrive along with a ton of tourists it’s crazy crowded. But there is ample outdoor seating if the weather is nice. The drinks were good, staff was friendly enough while ordering. It’s a great place to people watch!

This place was beyond what I imagined. And the food, YUMMY!! Ordered the brisket tacos and was super impressed with the flavor and tenderness. Also ordered a margarita, or 3! I live in Texas and plan to visit again when I’m back in California!

Everything from the time we got here to the final last call for food and then drinks was amazing. The food was so great, we recommend the Mushroom Asada tacos and a bucket of champagne. The staff was kind and fun and let us sing at the top of our lungs in celebration. I have been coming to Pioneertown since 2010 and it’s only gotten better. Thank you Red Dog for all your hard work and allowing us a new culture to be a part of as artists. This place is more than a desert recharge, it’s future family and friends.

Super chill little bar with great bartenders and friendly patrons. Great selection of tequila and whiskey. They make their own ginger beer and it’s amazing.

So in love with this place! We stopped in for lunch while in pioneertowm because I had previously tried the other saloon there and not had a great experience. I’m so glad we did- their decor is very nice and atmospheric, the vibe is welcoming, and the food was really good! We got a few drinks, some tacos, street corn, and queso with chips and everything tasted great and came out quickly.
