When flavor & vibes coincide. Comfort food gone chef, I would eat everything off this menu again and again. The staff is friendly and made sure we had drinks all dinner, the wait time was not long, and I left feeling full. You don’t have to be a foodie to figure out that the flavors in these dishes are intentional. 10/10, highly recommend.

my fiancé and i went for opening night! the restaurant is stunning and gives speak easy vibes. the food is FRESH AND DELICIOUS. the menus are leather which is such a cool touch. we will def be back. perfect date night place! bread and butter not pictured but a must try!!!!

Hello! My husband and I tried the Raven last night and it was Amazing! The atmosphere was dim and quiet with great finished industrial decor. I would make a reservation. We were lucky enough to get a seat because we are usually early eaters if I want to do a review.
We decided to split a meal to have room for desert. We got the Hangar Steak med/rare that was cooked to perfection, well seasoned. The dish comes with broccolini that is blanched. It was hot but not smooshy, still had a nice crisp to it. Bacon & Chevere-whipped potatoes that were creamy and full of flavor. The Au Pavre Pan Sauce tied everything together and was great on all items. All of these things wonderfully paired together.
For desert we got the Creme Brulee and Chocolate Pot de Creme. Both were amazing. The Pot de Creme was like a mix between pudding and custard.
We did have a hard time deciding what we were going to get since everything sounded great. Usually, at a higher end restaurant it can be more difficult if you’re not sure what somethings might even be. Our server was wonderful as well! Her timing, attitude and attention was on point! Thank you for this experience!

Loved the wagyu burger very highly recommend in the drink. Drinks were very good as well. I love the ambience and the dim lighting! Can’t wait to go back! The sourdough crust that’s house made on the pizza as well tastes sooo good! Highly recommend!

What a great experience, amazing food, and atmosphere. Service was absolutely amazing, and super friendly. My wife took me there for my 40th bday dinner. So glad she did!
Was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, around town. We tried a bit of everything, and everything was absolutely amazing! The owner Scott even stopped and made sure everything was perfect. I love the decor, and atmosphere.

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience from start to finish.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for true fine dining. The aesthetic is top tier, polished, warm, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. Even the bathrooms are immaculate and beautifully styled, which honestly says everything about the level of care here.
We started with the sweet potato and chorizo bisque, fresh baked bread, and homemade butter, which were all rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The bread alone could be its own reason to come back.
For our main courses, I had the salmon dish with risotto, and my husband had the house-ground wagyu blend burger. Both plates were absolutely phenomenal. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, the flavors were bold without being overwhelming, and the plating looked like art. You can tell every element on the plate is intentional.
Our server was incredible, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The level of service matched the quality of the food and the space, which made the entire experience feel elevated and effortless.

Excellent dinner and very professionally run, which is amazing as they opened quite recently. I highly recommend the bruschetta…it was extremely fresh. There are unique fusion options too, such as vietcajun po boys, which blended two different cusines with maximum flavor. Every dish has a lot of thought put into it. I also believe the portion sizes are generous. This is NOT a place where you pay $30+ for two bites of food per small plate.
The cocktail menu had some great classic choices and many unique offerings, too. I highly recommend the Spa Collins!
My table of two shared 3 appetizers and 1 big plate and it was the perfect amount of food. We were sadly too full for dessert. The dessert menu looks awesome though! I want to try the pistachio cake next time.
Service at front of house was very friendly. I called the restaurant to advise we were running a few minutes late to our reservation, and the hostess was very accommodating and understanding.
Our waitress, Tammy, went above and beyond for us. She was attentive and made great suggestions. I felt very welcomed by all of the staff there. I didn’t have one bad experience or hmmm moment.
The ambiance is unique inside with two bar areas around a dining room. It is romantically lit, without any harsh lighting. There are appealing small touches, like little touch lamps at every table.
It was towards the end of the night, so owner/Chef Scott had time to talk to us a minute after our meal. He was very personable and genuinely wanted to know our thoughts on the dishes we tried. He told us the backstory on several items, and why they are on his menu. It was nice of him to find the time to stop by our table, per my friend’s request. He seemed really down-to-earth, which is sometimes hard to find these days!
I believe the Raven has the potential to be a top “it place” to eat a nice meal in the Rockford region. It’s very refreshing to eat at a higher-tiered restaurant and not have to deal with pretentious staff who act like they are doing you a favor by letting you eat there!
I look forward to my next visit and seeing a successful future to this restaurant!
