What a wonderful place! So friendly, excellent drinks and good food. They have fairly regular live music and many events here as well. Great atmosphere and so many wonderful and welcoming people. Our own local Cheers right here in our beautiful little town of Franklin, NC! Highly recommend!

Tucked away in a charming back alley just off Main Street, the Rathskeller Coffee Bar is a cozy gem in Franklin, NC. This hole-in-the-wall spot exudes warmth and character, making it the perfect place to start your morning with a expertly crafted coffee or unwind later with a craft beer (or root beer). Food trucks serve up tasty bites that pair perfectly with the drinks.
The service here is a standout – exceptionally friendly and personable, making our visits feeling like we were catching up with old friends. Weekend live music adds a lively yet relaxed vibe, elevating the already inviting atmosphere.
The Rathskeller is a must-visit for a unique and relaxing experience in Franklin!

Went there to meet my best friend for dinner before going back to her place and I always like trying burgers at bars but this is by far the best smash burger I’ve ever had. It’s PERFECTLY cooked and I was shocked when they said they hadn’t had their food truck open long. They’ve obviously been cooking a long time bc I’ve never had caramelized onions that perfect. The vibes in here are amazing and the owners are so amazing and sweet with a great crew of people there. LOVED everything.

I walked in with $18 wanting a coffee. Ended up wanting a quiche, bellini and a coffee total was just over $18. I felt bad not being able to tip and was going to skip the bellini. The awesome owner/bartender extraordinaire said, nope, get the bellini, too♡ thank you so much. I’ll be back for sure♡
Edit to add a picture of the quiche. I’m so happy it’s a full mini tin! AND my white mocha breve was served HOT! and it is divine. ♡thanks
Signed,
A weary traveler who feels better after this stop☆

Visiting from out of town and needed some coffee. We parked behind back and used their back entrance but you can also park on the street in the front. We quickly ordered flavored latte and black coffee – staff was friendly, a cool vibe like a coffee Irish pub mix and coffee was ok. The latte was a little too sweet but I’d go back for another attempt.

Was very excited to make this review. Came here last year when I was in town visiting, and absolutely fell in love! Such a great atmosphere. Wonderful staff. Live music, lots of games, wonderful menu. Love that the locals keep their favorite mug on the wall. Great little find !!❤️

Our usually first stop on our Franklin nerd crawl. Cool place for coffee, drinks, and live music occasionally. A small game space at the back hosts a few popular board games.

I’d give this place a 5 star on atmosphere alone but then I had a coffee and it was damn tasty as well.
I don’t drink beer but it sure looked like they had to a good selection.
There was a small performance area. I can only imagine how nice this place must be with the right musical act paint there.
This place definitely stirred some memories of my favorite hangouts from when I lived overseas.
Whoever runs the Rathskeller has done a great job with this place.
