Came here for the Athenaeum’s Christkindlmarkt. It’s a cozy space, yet still large in size; my 360° video here does not show some of the adjacent areas.

There were drink, gift, and food shops setup for Christkindlmarkt, as well as a stage, music, and seating. I was disappointed in the lack of grilled sausage options, tho.

It’s always a fun night at the Rathskeller’s Biergarten. They are great any time of year, but Oktoberfest is even better.

moving back to the area. have been to the Rathskeller a number of times, but somehow never for the Biergarten. and never for a band at night

stopped here by chance when Yellow Rickshaw(?) was playing, we just looked in from the alley to check it out because we heard the music after dinner elsewhere

3 hours later… what a blast. had no plans to stay out, but it was that much fun.. crowd was an unexpected (and incredibly fun) mix from 21 to 70 yrs old (when do you ever see that?)

the band— Yellow Rickshaw —- may be the best cover band i’ve seen. 70s up to present music. Who knew a hard rock version of Taylor Swifts “Shake it off” could get everyone going (and I’m not a Swiftie— at all) and entertain such a diverse crowd.

Music from Fleetwood Mac to Snoop Dog to… well, everything. Fun and funny lead singer. Lovely “historic(?)” stage and setting with a massive old tree, and the Indy skyline in the background

This place is a gem.
