Fist off THANK YOU TJ! You made our first time here memorable and amazing! Best server I have ever had. So kind and helpful. Now the food. SO DANG GOOD! Like holy smokes I wish I had a bigger belly to eat all the things. Everything was so fresh, made to order and had outstanding flavors. Topped off with fresh house made raspberry sorbet. Literal heaven. 12/10! Loved every second of it would suggest arriving early as it gets busy! But even then, worth the wait!!

Ayana, not sure how it’s spelled, took amazing care of us. She was so sweet and had amazing recommendations. The corn chowder was really good. We also liked the red chili honey wings. The portions were HUGE. The coffee toffee pinon ice cream was a great way to end the night.

We had a lovely dinner. Thank you!

Note: Definitely recommend putting yourself on the OpenTable waitlist shortly before arriving. We put it in 15 min before we arrived and sat down right away.

Blown away! Found this place and wow! Reasonably priced, great service and excellent food. It can be such a crap shoot when traveling. This is a can’t miss place. Wife had the brisket and pulled pork combo. The price is so good, you will have to look at the menu. I had a 6oz sirloin and bbq shrimp. Perfection and we did not break the bank.

Plus, being our first time they offered a free dessert. The toffee caramel cheesecake is coming back the room with us for a late night snack.

I don’t write many reviews, but when I find such an excellent meal, great service and outstanding value, I have to.

Don’t miss this place.

We have been wanting to venture up to SF to check out The Ranch House…boy are we glad we did!! It was amazing!! We learned that the food was farm to table style, which is what we love and appreciate! Our ribeye was perfect and so juicy. There wasn’t one thing we didn’t love, down to the homemade creamy ranch in our house salad (which my bf couldn’t get enough of..btw). Our server TJ was exceptional at explaining everything and giving us wonderful options and information. He made our experience so pleasant and is great at his job! We will definitely be back!!

Normally I have never done a review while still in the restaurant but today I’m doing so. My wife and I are here at The Ranch House in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In a word… Exceptional!!! The service provided by our server Kai… Awesome. We enjoyed the back and forth with Kai as we did the delicious food. We are definitely coming back. The smoked chicken wings with the mango sauce was juicy and cooked correctly. The pics don’t lie, they taste as good as they look! Did the half rack ribs in the red honey glaze bbq sauce, yummy all the way. Wife did the artichoke dip and the veggie burger, she’s loving it. Run, don’t walk to The Ranch House. When you get there, ask for Kai because he’s the man! He’ll take good care of you. Compliment to the chef! 5 experience all the way around.

It took a while for someone to come to my table, so I had time to read the entire menu and decide what to have by the time they asked what I wanted to drink. I ordered the BBQ half chicken with Cole slaw and baked bean sides and chili cornbread.

The cornbread was excellent, except that it was not warm and the butter that came with it was cold. It would have been nice if it was the other way around.

The coleslaw was excellent, as were the baked beans. They are served in pre-measured little remekins, which was not unexpected based on the look of the place. I could have used a little more.

My order came out surprisingly fast. I would be surprised if it took more than three minutes. The chicken did not look appealing on the plate. You get two bottles of BBQ sauce, one hot and one mild. There was some kind of white sauce that I didn’t try, but maybe I should have.

The breast meat was dry. Like Thanksgiving turkey that didn’t get basted or tented dry. It was hard to get down, but I held a hope that the dark meat would at least be moist. It was not. Maybe it wasn’t as dry as the breast, but it was like nothing I have ever experienced.

So, dessert. I ordered the creme brulee. The vanilla custard was perfect. The caramelized sugar crust might have been under the blow torch a tad too long, but it was OK. I was happy with it overall, except for the pink strawberry. Here is a suggestion: if the strawberries aren’t ripe, get some raspberries or blue berries at the grocery store so that you can leave the strawberries on the counter for a few days to ripen.

I had been up since 5:30 AM East Coast time and traveling home to Taos the whole day. I stopped in Santa Fe directly from the ABQ airport for dinner and a little rest before driving the last hour and a half to Taos. If I didn’t have to drive the canyon between Espanola and Taos in the dark, I would have got a glass of wine. It would have helped get the chicken down.

Interestingly, about halfway through dinner I took a business phone call from a friend in Taos. My friend asked where I was having dinner. I answered, “A forgettable place called The Ranch House.” She said she and her husband had tried it and wouldn’t go back. We agreed that it was odd it got a 4.5 rating. I told her I would help them adjust it. And I just did.

This was our first time trying this place. I must say it did not let us down. The nachos with pork were so good with the jalapeños so fresh. The barbecue salad with the BBQ ranch dressing was delicious! The bloody Mary and the scotch sour to top it off was definitely worth the visit. Thank you to our waitress she was great! We will definitely be back.

Excellent in every way. First time coming here, and I will be back. We both had green chile cheeseburgers. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Prickly pear margaritas were excellent. Service and ambience were outstanding.

We visitedRanch House Yesterday evening for a Yesterday evening for a birthday dinner, party of 10, and was absolutely blown away. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
The brisket was incredibly tender, with a perfect smoke ring and bark that melted in my mouth. I also had the ribs—they were falling off the bone and packed with flavor.. The homemade BBQ sauce had just the right amount of kick to complement the smoky, savory meats.
Don’t skip the sides! The mac & cheese was perfectly creamy, the butternut squash purée was the perfect compliment to balance the meal.
Service was fast and beyond friendly, even during the weekend dinner rush. It is rare to find a place that treats both the food and the customer with such care. I cannot wait to return.
Best,
Jessi
